A few projects in the pipeline so my car is on the market (in fact it's been on the market for a couple of months) Plenty of nibbles but no cigar yet.....the interstate rego transfer seems to give buyers the flutters, a PITA.
Just wish the authorities would get their acts together and offer a national scheme, it's bloody ridiculous.

Anyway, maybe it's time to spread the word a bit further so....

Nothing special - she just smoked it!
The trick was getting her to light up a vintage mini and pretend to enjoy it!

Craig, Greg loves his bikes! I see the DAX is for sale too.

A real gentlemen and I'll miss our Nats banter. I hope he's just morphing them both into another car of relevant 65 history so he stays in the club.

All the best for the sale.

A very nice car and appears well sorted and who can go past a nice silver cobra.

I am sure that it will go to a good home soon, just a matter of finding the right one.

I'm gathering that transferring into NSW would pose quite a few issues, especially with that donk, otherwise I would have been interested. Its a great car

I would be surprised if Ray Cross (engineer) in NSW who is very familiar with Harrisons and may have engineered this in the first place would not be able to assist here.

Not sure if NSW offers the same as QLD with reciprocal registration.

Perhaps even Teeve may be able to provide some direction.

Don't be scared off by a little leg work for a great car. The pain of bureaucracy will be very quickly replaced by the smiles of ownership (and driving).

Just mindful of this -

Qld to NSW transfer

I wish Australia was the one country as it clearly isn't - One rule for one state and totally different rules for other states and none are usually the same

SI've just done Vic to QLD transfer. Qld transport (vehicle standards) originally said to my RWC inspector that the car had to be put through engineering compliance. I rang Ray C for his advice and he said you simply ask for an exemption as its already rego d in Vic. I then rang vehicle standards myself and asked all the "but why" questions and in the end they said if the car was recently rego d in another state then just get your Rwc like any other car and your sweet.
I asked the lady for her name and employee number and said thank you common sense has prevailed.
Car was RWC and regod 2 days later without a single issue. I sure found it was worth taking things into my own hands to get a satisfactory result.
Certainly it's not QLD to Nsw but still worth noting.
Greg lives in NSW so I thought it'd be NSW regod?
Great car.

Excuse my ignorance, but why would it be different to any other car?

Ps. "Cos it is!" Is not a suitably acceptable answer...

You could live in Canada, where the Federal rules are supposed to apply everywhere but, if they do, are interpreted many different ways.

And then there are the provincial rules, which vary considerably (radically?) from one jurisdiction to another and, at times, seem to be made up as they go along.

... it is an ICV.

When building a car in QLD, you must apply for an exemption to the crash testing of the vehicle. This exemption (technically) applies to the owner (builder) of the vehicle and not the vehicle itself. So when it is sold as an ICV (which it is) the new owner should apply for this same exemption. This exemption also has a time frame so even the original owner should re apply for this after n years.

Bear in mind that this information is summarised from my memory following a conversation with Ray around 8 years ago so should be followed up for accuracy as required.

Despite this, I have never heard of either the original owner reapplying for this or any new owners doing the same, even for transfer within QLD.

I'd be more inclined to find the legislation that clearly states one can't register a car in another state once it has been ADR approved, registered and is in road worthy condition...

The rest is just noise.

I'll leave you with that. Good looking car, with good renown pedigree.
Bargain for $60k IMHO
