Someone "not me"'nominated me to help Ron organise the Nats. As Ron doesn't use this forum I have to help with the gee up. A couple of simple lines filling us in would have been great rather than 3 long winded posts of Ron knows Fk/neverything. He hasn't told me.
It's no wonder no one puts their hand up to organise anything. If you Know everything you organise it as I got plenty of other things where people tell me to how to suck eggs that I also don't enjoy doing.
O.k. Matty,
Your help is much appreciated....
I was asked to email every Queensland club member to ask if they were coming, and then they were to let you or Ron know what they were doing.
I just sent out another follow up letter from Ron to everyone yesterday...hoping to get the replies.
And wanted to let you know that the slow response is frustrating, but that it happens every year, and then there are a lot of changes in that last month.
I was just saying that talking/ emailing Ronnie, rather than asking the forum, might get you the answers you were chasing.
Not telling you how to "suck eggs"... It's all good.

I know it is a long shot.....But does any one know of the Cobra Nationals results in 2001 and 2002. It is a fair way back but would be nice to know as my Cobra (COB 88) was there, driven by previous owner Peter McGlynn. Nothing online as far as I can see.
Everyone going down this year......Have a great time. Wish I could be there but work commitments prevail.

Keep up the good work Matty, it's a thankless job, I'm just glad it's not me.
Yep it's a good idea to try and gee up the locals into even thinking about coming. That then could just turn into a booking, and, the more the merrier.
Unfortunately the forum is not as popular as it once was and more than half the Queenslanders attending or considering attending, aren't on the forum anymore or never were.
Mick, Geoff, Gary, Paul, Proc, Pete, John, Mario, Scotty, Ronny either were never on the forum or just don't use it anymore. It's a little sad but unfortunately not to everyones liking.
Spoke to Yve and Chris at the A series and Yve said they weren't going but when I said I was staying at camp Warnock, Taunton, Hall because it would save me $800 in Motel costs they said they MIGHT have a re think and consider doing the same.
Just a quick reminder, the 22nd Cobra Nationals are less than 4 weeks away. Don't let time get away from you as you need to get your entry in before 18 September to avoid a late fee of $100.
We need to get all the entries in before this date to be able to secure the correct number of event T-shirts and also be able to confirm the numbers for the dinners.
For any entries coming in after this date, we can't confirm that dinners and T-shirts can be secured even though of course we will try our best.
See below excerpt from the regs.
The organisers reserve the right to limit entries and have the right to refuse any entry. Acceptance of entries shall be at the absolute discretion of the Event Secretary. Entries close for all classes on the 18/9/2015. Any entries lodged after the closure date will incur a late fee of $100, and acceptance and charging of the fee is at the absolute discretion of the Event Secretary.
I personally can't wait to get on the track and experience all the fun and friendships that the Nationals is.
Schipps,
if they are emailed to me, generally I will send a thanks reply but if they were mailed or emailed to others, probably not.
I have an updated entrant list as of this morning. If anyone is nervous about whether their entry has been received, send me a note and I'll confirm.

Important RWC match against the soap dodgers on the Sunday morning (5:45) is very bad timing. Might need to push back the Drivers Briefing to 8:30 Kimbo
