i dont care what the question is .. The answer is more power!!!
There was an alloy 289 body unfinished project getting around WA for awhile...not sure what happened to it? might of been on a G Force chassis or similar
I think the Corvette replicas on the holden chassis were called a Perenti.
The Cheetah has definitely got an unconventional look. I thought they were ugly at first but the shape has grown on me. It's hard not to be impressed by 200MPH back in 1964
Cheers

Yes built on a HQ -HZ 1 ton chassis, I cant imagine the handling would be fantastic

I own a 72 corvette and they are pretty agricultural underneath. The chassis is not that different to a Holden one toner. You just get an IRS and 4 wheel disc brakes.

Not exactly scratch built but the plan for the Corvette is to turn it into a road going replica of this car.
The L88 corvette was probably the main competition for the 427 Cobra back in the late 60's
The bodywork on mine is rough and it needs repainting so grafting on the L88 flares is part of the plan along with deleting the troublesome pop-up headlights in favor of the FIA perspex bubble covers.
That's the plan once the Cobra is back on the road.
Read up on the L88 corvette. There is some interesting history there.

when we used too run tow trucks out of our workshop we had the contract for towing for a company called corvette world here in Adelaide i was pretty shocked the first time i put one on the truck it looked so much like a hq it was not funny . i used to joke with some of the owners that they had just bought a plastic hq .
some of the cars were real pieces of crap but they stilled paid stupid money for them back in the day . never really appealed to me personally but each to there own .

I've loved the chrome bumper C3 cars (68-72) for as long as I can remember. I've always thought they looked like the sports car you draw when you are 6 years old. Pointy at one end flat at the back with big wheels and side exhausts etc. Just add flames and smoke. A childs dream car and I'm still just a big kid.

The L88 Corvette's are easily the loudest things at the LeMans Classic!!

I always fancied a Vette --- until --- we have a '72 454 twin carby supercharged one in the shop ATM --a total POS and diabolically dangerous on the road
Looks cool though

You are not wrong. I drove mine from Sydney to Melbourne when I bought it and I reckon my Shibura tractor handles and steers better.
I've already sourced a bunch of good suspension parts for it and there are some frame mods that the original race cars got that will be going in. Changing from the original hydraulic ram assisted Power steering to a new Borgeson Power steering box improves them no end.
Cheers
