Default Beejay's New Cobra Build

Well,

I thought it was about time I put up some pics of my new build that Absolute Pace has been working on. Should be ready for a road trip soon for pick up.

The team at Absolute Pace have done a really fantastic job on everything as they know that I want to build a special car with a few different features.

Basic Specs for the car.

High Carbon body
Black gellcoat
Special show spec finishing
15" wheels
Single roll bar
6Ltr Chev
Tremec 6 speed

I am looking forward to a new build!

Ben

I never tire of seeing that black gelcoat body.......would be my choice if I went for a glass body as well. Cant wait to watch your progress. Well done.

Hello Craig,

The Pace guys have done some extra work on the chassis welding and body underside for me, and have done a great job. My last Cobra was a neat street car, I plan on taking this one to a higher level.

There are some other mods and features on the way, you will have to wait and see!

Cheers,

Ben

Nice work Ben, looking forward to following your build too.

Sucked me in with your "special mods" - can't wait for "the reveal"! You must have been watching too many of those reality tv shows....

So Ben, got more details on your drivetrain?

New, or Commodonor? You've got a great local reference with Sam (aka Messy) just down the road. This was my choice too.

I went with an L77 and TR6060MER out of a nearly-new-well-it-looked-new-from-a-distance SS Redline Commodonor. Took all the drivelines, ECU, diff, loom and dont' forget the DBW pedal.

224/230 cam, some pushrods lifters and valve springs and it will make 430hp+ at the wheels all day. And still look like a stocker.

Hello guys,

I have been looking for a VF wreck for a few months, but it looks like they are a bit scarce in NSW at the moment. Hopefully one will turn up for the right price soon.

I will be going for a mild motor build with an 8 stack manifold.

Looking forward to playing with this!

Must be nice to see your body on your chassis.
Mine's been on a chassis, but that was only for measuring the body....so looking forward to getting to your stage.

Cheers,
Glen
