Yeah, it does make you think what he could have done with a little more go.
Or maybe we just need to figure out how to launch the car.

Just a thought - Sprints should be worth more. Spend half the time on sprints and they are weighted the same in King Cobra as the other "fluff" events.
Might not have made a difference this year, but is it worth considering?

We could always go to the Shelbyfest scoring system where they add up all your best times and give one overall time.

We struggle a lot with the "straight sprints", that's where we really suffer in the King Cobra points. This year was extra tough, I only had 1 drag run. However, I can't really use that as an excuse as it was a decent-ish run.
Was super happy to be fastest everywhere else though!

I wanted to add my voice of appreciation to the NSW club for its efforts and for again putting on a great Nationals.
Clearly, the weather is highly variable but I was impressed with way the organisers did whatever they could to get people out safely.
And for times when that was not possible - it simply meant that I had more 'shed time' with good comrades catching up on tall tales and true.
Personally, I was the beneficiary of a couple of clerical errors that saw me called to front at award time for a couple of minor placings and had the satisfaction of seeing some team mates awarded.
At the end I drove my car on the trailer for the first time in 3 years and so was delighted with that outcome
Thank-you again to the New South Welshmen (& Ladies) and I plan on seeing you in 2017.

Out of interest, can someone tell me how long the straight sprint was, and the slalom specs? Distance overall, number of cones, distance to first and between each of the rest, then distance to garage? (Maybe some off-season practice is required.... )

Just makin ya sweat Guy.
There's no secrets so here's the layout for the slalom. 2015 we had 15metres from start line to the first cone but after seeking input from some driver's, it was opened up to 20 metres with 15 m between cones. From the staging line to the end of garage is 138m
