Morning all, just purchased my first Cobra replica in Adelaide, still digging through all the paperwork, engineers certs etc. Car was finished in 2011 and only done 1500km when I purchased it. Full SA rego, new crate SVO 5l, Tremek 5 speed, jag front and rear etc. Drove it 450km home yesterday and had a ball, needs some finishing in boot area and detailing but more than happy with performance and handling. Let the fun begin.
Cheers

Welcome!
Tell us a bit more about your car...
Manufacturer? Colour? I'm happy to hear that your car has an SBF engine.
When you have a few more posts you'll be able to post pictures, and pictures are what we love to see.
You had great weather for the trip home....much better that the 42 degrees of the previous couple of days!
Are there any other Cobra replicas in Mt Gambier?

Cheers,
Glen

Congratulations SVO

There is a huge fanatic in Mt Gambier by the name of Bernie.

To track him down go to the McDonalds and leave your name and number there for him to call you.

Elsewise Bernie might chime in here through the forum.

Cheers

Steve

If you catch him on a good day he might even shout you a Big Mac to welcome you to the club.

Glen

Unless he has moved, that's where I last caught up with him at his family home!

Still we are talking about McDonald's Bernie SVO.

Default New to forum

I met Bernie several years ago, very well respected business man and passionate about his toys. His current ride is and incredible piece of engineering and all class, drooled over it at Port Fairy last year. Last time I spoke to Bernie he was directing the Portland franchise.
I have attached some pics. of the new ride, bot some work to do trimming the boot and tidying the engine bay but generally the car is a pleasure to drive.
Looking at the engine specs it produced 350hp at the flywheel, may need to look at the diff ratio as I can,t use 5th gear under 140kmh, cam is a very healthy GT 40 spec roller and as long as your above 2200 RPM it,s all business.
Thanks for the welcome.
Regards SVO

Welcome SVO. That's a mighty fine looking example of a cobra there. Hopefully we might see you at ShelbyFest next year; there's a small contingent of crow-eaters planning the trip I believe. And merry Christmas!

Looks like the modifications to the Cobra are already underway, with you selling the Cragar Street Pro wheels PhotoPost Classifieds - SS Cragar Wheels for sale - Powered by PhotoPost Classifieds

That's a cheap price for those wheels!

What style have you bought to replace them?

Craig,
Ordered the American Racing VN427, dark grey centre with polished rim, 12 weeks from the US. After the new wheels I will look at some adjustable rear coil overs, any suggestions? running series 2 jag suspension.
