Seats
Hi Guys,
Does any one have cobra seats for sale or know where I can get them? I am based in Sydney but happy to ship them. I know the Pace guys have a shell but they have a spring base which makes you sit higher and I would like to get a more shallow option.
Thanks

Thanks Guys.
Mongoose: I was going to go with the Cobra Roadster seat but revolution don't sell them any more. Importing a set of Vinyl ones from UK was going to cost around 1200. Leather faced 1900
Modena: Classic and sports were the only company that I found who make them. Glad to hear that others are happy with them.

Hi Linden.
I actually have a pair of the Pace seats for sale if your interested. Unupholstered. Includes headrests, rails, sprung base. PM me if you're interested and I can send you measurements, etc. They are a little wider than some, and yes the base makes them a little taller but extremely comfortable.

The kirkey seat is nice for the race car look but wouldn't suit my car. I notice a few guys with fibreglass shells. Does any one sell those?

I'm surprised that the Pace seats could be considered too "tall" for some.
As I said in another post I'm 194 (or 5) cm tall and I was able to fit into a Pace very comfortably and, importantly, sit much lower than I'm able to in my own car which has been considerably modified to fit me in.
Pace offer an ingenious trampoline style seat with an inverted "Gurney bubble", for want of a better term, in the floor under the seat. Simple and comfortable. The trampoline provides the movement -- not too springy obviously-- and the scooped out section provides additional range of movement. At 110 kgs I can truthfully state that not once did I "bottom out" in an extended drive of this car over some less than friendly roads.

I've got the Kirkey vintage buckets in mine. I find the comfortable (at least while stationary) They also let me get the seating position as low as possible.
Kirkey Vintage Seat install
I tried Modena's seats the other day and they were comfee too with a nice traditional look.
Cheers

I bought a set of seats from Pace for a FFR Coupe.. took the spring base out and padded from the base of the AL frame to lower them a bit.. worked fine... My primary requirement was ADR compliance for rego.. if you are past that then the Kirkey / Corbeau options are good too..

Thanks Chris. ADR isn't essential as the car is already registered. A few guys are trying to sell their Pace bases. I honestly thought someone would be importing the cobra branded roadster seat.

I stand corrected, just spoke to revolution and they have them again. Going to check them out tomorrow and also see if they import the other cobra roadster variants and trim options.

Linden...
Check out Subesports.com out of Huntington Beach, Ca. They have their Cobra Classic Seat for around US$350.00. Check their web site.

Love the classic and sports seats. Anyone got a price on these? Think I found my seats for the Pace.

The classic and sports seats are good but I am going to pull mine out and increase the padding at the front under your legs (seat heater going in as well). You tend to slide down towards the footwell.
Also my wife reckons the side bolsters are a bit too high and push shoulders forward.
Rectify these couple of issues and they would be perfect.
I have had mine for about 5 years now so the design may have changed a little.
Cheers
