Agreed. I can't imagine why anyone would go with glass. Get some M10 Lexan, have then routered for $40, and you are set for years. You can even get them in different tint colors to match your wind wings if you desire.

Not for nothing but you can bring them back to close to new.
5-6 sheets of wet/dry paper from about 600 to 3000 grit, sand each side wet. After the fine paper, go with a quality plastic polish like Novus and a soft cloth and they clear right up.
If you have no big surface scratches Novus makes a kit with 3 grades of polish and cloth for 10 bucks

Just received my sun visor and wind wing hardware kits from Finish Line, fantastic service and quality . Recommend them.
Just a comment on Lexan , in some states in Australia you can only use laminated automotive glass for side wings and it has to have manufacturers stamp or etch to pass rego inspection.
Cheers

Just had a set of visors and wind wings cut from one of my local shops. 1/4" grey tinted lexan. $80. I still need to do a little cleaning and polishing on edges.

Sorry to mention it again. But I find if you have the hinge bracket on the inside, then when you fold the wind wing to the inside then the hinge touches the frame, not the glass, when the bracket is on the outside.
Mine is laminated, but I like the idea of lexen so its lighter and less likely to break.
