Default Wing mirrors

Was looking for a set of wing mirrors for my Coupe, preferably with turn indicators built in that would also satisfy the compliance requirements for NSW rego.

Look forward to any advice.

With thanks

Chris

Use Raydots and fit the side repeater elsewhere.

With that design you have to keep your windwings out all the time and torqued down tight, no thanks.

Chis, I don't know about the blinker requirements but as a bit of a traditionalist I've referred to side mirrors as 'dressing table mirrors' for some years, due to their every growing size. It wasn't until I drove the GTO with 90mm Raydyots that I realised the error of my ways. The passenger side mirror is practically useless but perhaps it just requires some getting used to. I suspect the Roadster drivers turn their heads to check more than they perhaps realise.

I have also discovered with the coupe that 3 point turns are out. You are completely blind to oncoming traffic when reversing.

Had these (Motorcycle style)

Went to these Raydots with blind spot mirror mod on LHS

Both useless!

Towy has some mirrors on his F truck that would be very practical and also has in built side indicators....

F250 truck mirros with indicators - Bing images

But also useless in your application.

Gentleman GTO drivers prefer the Scandinavian flick turn - pity is, the GTO handbrake is a POS and won't facilitate the flick!

Its always nice to start a conversation..

Peter, you might need to fit a line locker for your front brakes instead now..

Spooky.. The impression Im getting is unless its around a 1/4 acre of glass its not going to be much use in any case... will see what Raydot have in their range these days.

Mike.. was that a scene from Gumball..?

The problem is with mine is I sit so low that it just looks at the rear body bulge.

They're OK but nothing like an open topped car for knowing whats around you.
I'd suggest a Coupe is like a 40 in many respects regarding vision or lack thereof.

Chris, Raydot and Bullets are usually 90mm, however I have seen some bullets with a longer stem and Robnell's came with an over sized bullet mirror which was around 110-115mm and a longer stem.
Are you going with a classic, modern or mixed look for the build?

A bullet with 102mm convex lens and longer stem. I don't like the convex lens.

Thanks David and Spooky... will look into your advice further.. need to get them on reasonable length arms to be any chance of seeing something in that 3/4 rear view. Was going for a more modern look considering Ive changed just about everything bar the shape of the body..

Have a reversing camera for just in case, hooked up to the screen in the radio.

Cheers

Chris
