Iccars icc-003
Attachment 28109ICCARS can also modify the Boss engines to fit into the AC Cobra replicas, they look nice sitting in there and provide great performance and a great sound

i like the mod motor , with the right valve covers and a 8 stack i feel they are a great looking motor. Good power in stock config. i was a bit disapointed i couldnt fit one in the Pace

Supercharge it and Bam!!! 500kw+ from a standard config. motor.
But I agree the eight stack looks unbelievable, and has that throaty note that makes it sound sick on acceleration.

Iccars icc-003
ICC-003 was built using an XR8 BA MKII wreck with rear end damage allowing for use of all the wiring loom, engine and trans, all dash gauges, cooling system and seat belts, pedal assembly, steering column, stereo etc..
The remaining parts were sold by the owner to almost recover the initial cost of the vehicle.
Very cost effective method of building of this Cobra kit.
We provided a foot well recess for when using the Boss motors due to the excessive width of these motors reducing the standard foot well by 65mm in width per side..
Finally, under hung exhaust system open and easy access for fitment if requiring to run dummy side pipes.

Your photos aren't showing for me either.
How are they being hosted? You have no photos in your gallery so I assume it's through another website. I suspect the other website the forum is linking to is down as they have been visible in the past.
Upload them to your gallery on here and you should have no trouble.

For the life of me I can't even remember what I posted back then lol.. But the photo's did go up onto the post at the time and I have added them the same way as I always do via the attachment pin when I write up my thread detail.. I can't even open them to change the format size, so not sure what to do...

You need to upload the image to your gallery. When you open the picture in your gallery, there are some URL options for posting the photo. All you have to do is copy the URL for linked image into your post and it will display.

Wil, if you have the pics hosted in photobucket or the like.
If you have moved them in an album, or changed setting away from public, then they will not show the pictures.

Iccars icc 001
Well, progress at last as I stripped the donor car for my own personal Cobra project down to a bare shell, and pulled the engine and trans and extensive wiring loom out and ready to start to play around with the next stage of this AWD project. That wiring loom is a doozy... 4 ECU's to make it more interesting for me to navigate through..

Hey Wil. I'm really keen to see how this turns out as I (and others I now) have often wondered how an AWD Cobra could be done.
Keen to understand how you handle the front axle being behind the engine in the transaxle etc.. Thats a tricky one (for me at least).
I always thought the AWD Holden Cross8 drivetrain might have been a contender?
good luck with the wiring loom - looks pretty daunting. Cheers Gregg.

Hey Gregg,
there are definitely a few challenges with this project, however I have already designed a transfer drive system to drive the front wheels independently. The main issue now is that I have to build a completely new custom chassis that is wider than my std chassis and utilises the AWD running gear and suspension, ABS, stability control, traction control etc.., so I am hoping to start on that shortly and get the motor/trans and diff assembly, suspension set up etc.. mounted in place to prove the design, then disassemble again to complete the chassis and so on..
I can honestly say that I thrive on these sorts of projects, as I only tend to sleep for 3-4hrs a night - the rest of the time i'm thinking about my projects.. lol
Will post more photos as I progress the chassis build, then I have to manufacture the drive system for the front wheels and prove it also..
Now that I have started I am keen to keep progressing this build... Stay tuned
Cheers

The rear diff assembly - need to re-position the upper & lower wishbones onto my chassis and narrow the track by 100mm per side in order to fit the rear wheels I have planned, plus provide some nice negative offset on the rear wheels.
Front wheels will have almost zero offset, so I am looking for the complete contrast front to back..
The main thing is to make sure that the rolling diameters are no greater than one and a half percent differential or closer if possible, so that it does not interfere with the traction control.
Axles will require shortening also & considering HICAS on the rear for low speed maneuvering and better turning circle etc..
