Looks good and great to hear that it makes such a difference as when driving. That way, it was not any wasted effort.
I can see hard top revolution forming.

A few more pics. Added a few stripes because the ball and chain loves it when I " waste time putting stickers on my car":
Ended up just missing the mount for the roll bar and dropping it down. Could not find anyone to bend one at the right radius. Can't run the rear stay, but at least it's there:
Some other pics of inside, hatch interior not finished off of course. :

Is it possible to build a hard top and have the whole top pivot to the rear to make it easier to get in, using gas struts. With a simple mechanism to lock it down? I really love your top. It's always worrying to strip the threads in the windscreen frame.

Took the car to Bathurst today for the driver parade. Everyone else was freezing over the mountains. Took about 10 minutes to get the top off at the other end. It really does make it so much more comfortable on long trips, got home this arvo feeling fresh rather than frazzled. Took the Bells line of Rd which is a little rough but a lot more interesting than the great western Hwy.
There was quite a few people approached me about the top at nats (although it didnt make me go any faster!), enough so I might look into doing a run with a pro fibreglasser. PM me if your interested - obviously would be cheaper the more I run off. Nothing but the bare shell and would probably require mods to fit anything but a classic revival. Even a CR would need to have the windscreen set at exactly my angle\position to be a perfect fit. I found modding the fibreglass pretty simple though.
And just because I love this photo:

Aren't you meant to protest only when you get beaten by the cheat?

And that trophy is fractionally taller than the 1st in sprints. Just saying.....

Hey Matt - I didnt. Its easy enough to lift by myself, just awkward. 25-30kg Id say. Ill put it on some scales next time I take it off.
Not a lot of interest from the forum in me running off a mould so unlikely at this stage.

The hatch with the steel and plexi certainly add to the weight. The fibreglass on mine is not thick at all but when bolted down is rock solid.

Andy, I'd be a little bit interested in a copy but I am pretty sure I'd have to mod my roll bar and that seems a bit daunting! I should have lined the cars up to compare the Pace to yours at the Nats. What kind of height roll bar would be OK, roughly?
