Ive finished the locks off and bonded the frame to the hatch. Was about to knock up a frame to mount the top to and start on all the body work and "paint", but got a little sidetracked making a bit more room in the garage.
I need to cut a little pocket in the ceiling so I can get 1.8m clear underneath, right on 1.6m now. Lots of shelving that Ive filled with crap already - need to spend a day filtering through it and I reckon I could free up half the space Ive used. Shelving was from "Storage Sam" (Google them) - Highly recommended if your in Sydney.

Looking into a 4 poster soon. Did you look at any other brands?
They seem to be getting cheaper but hope quality is not being affected.
Maybe I should stop buying cars.
Cheers

This one was from AAQ in WA, but they freight to capitals foc. Quality looks good and their service was great. Putting it together was pretty straight forward. It is fractionally smaller than some others on the market, space is a premium in my 1.5 car garage.

Looks good.

Anyone know where I can get a roll bar hoop bent up in Sydney? 2" at 300 centres I think. I prefer the laid back look of the original one, but will need to make up another for hardtop use.
Cheers

Hi Andrew, Not a lot of benders can get the Centre Line Radius the CRs have in thick wall roll bar tube, Mine was 310 c2c originally, but i have a 330 Aussie Mike Special now with a small move of the outer mount., but Daniel Steers at Classic Revival will no doubt have or can get the original CLR for you.
cheers
Dave

I did move the inboard mount and have mine at 290mm centres. Not sure why I didnt just go 300, but maybe I ordered 300, got 290 and adjusted the mount after? Long time ago now.
Anyway I do need a single hoop at 290 centres if someone has one sitting on a shelf. Ill start calling around tomorrow.
Started my Cam install tonight - made good progress and have it nearly all apart. I reckon another good afternoon and evening Ill have it done. Interested to see what difference it makes.

Nah mate - not even changing the oil - it hasn't turned too gluggy yet. Lost a couple of bolts into that big hole behind the oil pump - its OK though, Ill pick some extras up at bunnings cos I cant be bothered fishing them out.

Andrew are you going to show us the process of it changing into an aluminium top to match the rest of your car??? The process to achieve the most original look seems to be somewhat reclusive to the general public..? Please tell us, it's safe here on the forum!

Speaking of rocket surgery, This engine work is a piece of piss - nearly done after tonights effort. Im thinking of opening a workshop with Mark Nieb....
I'm done with this car! - MustangForums.com
Im going to just paint my tyres in wd40 like Gav recommended and try and get through another nats. With my rebuilt engine, hardtop aero advantage (I dare you to protest) and refreshed tyres you fancy round tube CR boys better start worrying. Mark reckons Ill get another 500 giggawatts with my new cam.
Even got all the stuff I need for painting the top:
