Whats the plan for the top - is the body going back to Mark for full fitment? Those gull wings are going to make it far to easy to get in and out..the dive in and out is all part of the fun ;-)

It would be interesting to have the gull wing doors come all the way down to the sill with the swing doors removed? Very nice so far.

Yeah, Mark is the man. There has been a lot of planning done over the last 6 months for the final custom additions. Looking forward to see him work his magic.

Wow - the top will really add an interesting dimension to this build. Have a look at the top featured here from a post in another hardtop thread. It is related to the design you've chosen as that one was a concept for the AC MK VI which was based on the Dax Tojeiro that this new top is designed for. It doesn't have the gull wings, but it shares the rear quarter window cutout and hatchback shape that makes it the best looking hardtop I've ever seen on a Cobra.
Keep us posted on progress!
HOME
Edit - I can't get enough of how good that combination looks. Way more complimentary than any other hardtop option I've ever seen on a Cobra.

I don't know if you guys have seen this guys work. He has fabricated a gull wing hardtop, and even put power windows in his cobra.
He has done some nice fabrication. I always think of Aussie Mike when I watch his videos.

If the link doesn't work google skunkworks cobra on youtube.

I heard Mark is using AP's old body buck to make more alloy cobra bodies like yours himself. Have you heard this while chatting to him about your HT?

Dave got them for me but not sure if they were from AP before they changed to VDO.
The gauge positioning is absolutely perfect in my driving position so I can clearly see the taco through the steering wheel and the speedo clearly out the LHS of the wheel.

The Smiths gauges came from Howards after Absolute Disgrace sent me the VDO's.

So two weeks ago it was destination Dubbo for the Alumina#69. Here are a few pics of the road trip sights along the way plus my first official drive in reverse...while being pushed by Mark.
Looking forward to seeing Mark Nugent work his magic with all the body mods over the next 3 months.
Cheers

No, it was at Weethalle. The Coonalpyn silos are only black and white.

Hi guys,
Just an update on build to date. I haven't actually seen the car since Sept so I'm only going on relayed info and photos. We are another few steps closer to the marathon finish line. Side pipes have now been fitted, Front and rear overiders fitted, roll bars installed and lockable armrest fabricated and mounted. Still plenty to go including the hardtop so I'm guessing it will be another couple months before I have any further updates. I have also chosen to go a full brushed Aluminum finish now with some polished stripes and get it clear wrapped. I'll try posting a couple update pics.
Cheers
Scott
