Aussie Cobra Kit Manufacturers, how many?
OK, I'm curious as to how many Cobra kits manufacturers there are Down Under. Where are they all and what is their curent status? I wrote down a list and was quite surprised at how many I could think of.
Robnell (Vic)
DRB (Qld)
RMC Replica Motor Company ?
Python (Vic)
Classic Revival (NSW)
G-Force (WA)
DE-Type ?
RCM / Laurie Bongalias (Vic)
Homebush Fiberglass (NSW)
Classic Glass (SA)
RC-Sports Cars (Vic)
I know ther must be others but can't think of them at the moment.
Cheers

RC Sports cars went bankrupt over a year ago.
Australian Classic Car year book 2002 has a comprehensive list of all Oz kit car manufacturers.

Dave, are you actually implying that Mr Shelby reads this forum? I feel so humble... Right that's enough of the f@rt gags, you'll be seing a very different Aussie Mike from now on.
That's 15 Cobra manufacturers so far, I wonder if we have a record for per-capita Cobras and/or Cobra manufacturers?
Cheers

I wouldn't mind going to the nationals. It would be a great opertunity to meet some more Cobra folk and see some awesome cars. When and where?
How far is Goulburn from Melbourne?
Cheers

Mike,
I see you're a newbie eh.
Why not join the Cobra Club, there are a lot of active Melbourne Cobra nuts ?
The nationals are on this year at WAKEFIELD PARK, Goulburn on the 1st weekend Oct, I think that's the long weekend in NSW.
Check out http://www.cobracarclub.org.au/ to see what we got up to in previous years.
Will your car be ready to compete ?

Dave;
That date you mention for the nationals in October at Wakefeild Park sounds awfully close to bathurst.Please...say it isn't so!.I remember coming home last year and seeing some Cobra's on trailers.
Does anyone know how I can be in two places at once and sober at one of them!.
Cheers

Chris,
Problem last year was that we couln't book the track due to the Bathurst races but we have been able to book it for this year. You may have seen one of our Qld cobras on a trailer with a blown engine.
