Default Superformance Cobras

Hello all;

Has anyone had anything to do with Superformance in Victoria.I carn't remember where they are ,but I think its down towards Gippsland somewhere. They did have an exibit a while ago,at the Motor show....I think?.It was a silver car with a 351 windsor/tremec combo and a very nice job.

Also Im interested in hearing about people importing cobras. There are a few dax's about, but has anyone gone to the trouble of bringing any other kits from say the US in?

Regards

Chris
Superformance are located in Warragul at a local metal-fabricators factory to date as far as l know no cars have been sold as yet, apparently it's worth the trip down there the club did a run down there a while back. As to your 2nd question there are a few guys in Vic. who have personally imported DAX'S from the UK but thats all l'm aware of.
Regards Paul

Thumbs up

G'DAY JR ,Thanks for the thumbs up ,the crossram injection was put together by S. Morrison here in Melbourne. Steve designs and produces all our V8 touring car injection setups, alloy and magnesium diff housings and a ton of trick street and performance gear all of which is available through Mike Fielder at Australian Muscle Parts in Longbeach.
The car is work in progress at the moment engine has only been in to setup tranny mounts and the like. Specs. well according to my engine builder they are available when l'm happy with my package all l can tell you at the this time is lt's using a ground 400 Clevo crank, 360 chrys Rods, aussie made custom pistons custom bump stick and comp is around 11.5:1.
The motor is around 6 weeks away , he says an easy 600+ hp at the fly backed up through a Lentech AOD and 4 link 9" alloy rear.

Regards Paul.......OZCOBRA

PS. The car being built beside mine is running a 460 and he has just ordered the same crossram setup, FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!!!!

Thumbs up i want one!

G'day to you. Thanks for the reply. That motor is a work of art. Keep us posted, please. Will it be necessary to modify the hood/hood scoop to fit the crossram?

Send more pictures, please.

Talking

JR, NO MODS NEEDED WITH THE 351 TO FIT, ALTHOUGH I'M USING A LONGER/WIDER SCOOP AS USED ON SOME OF THE UK.DAX REPLICAS . I AM PRETTY SURE THERE IS ROOM TO SPARE EVEN WITH THE 460 THE SET UP MIKE FIELDER TOOK TO THE PRI SHOW A WHILE BACK, HAD A SLIGHTLY LONGER RUNNER FINISHING IN A HORIZONTAL POSITION INSIDE OF THE ROCKER COVER.(I WILL EMAIL A PHOTO OF THIS SET-UP.) SET-UP WAS USED ON A ROBNELL REPLICA THAT WAS HAVING HOOD CLEARANCE PROBLEMS.
AS WHERE MINE IS THE PREFERED ANGLE HELPED THROUGH THE TFS HEADS DEEP PORT POSITION ALLOWING US TO STAND THEM UP MORE AND WITH PLENTY OF ROOM TO SPARE UNDER THE HOOD!
REGARDS PAUL......OZCOBRA
PS. PICTURES WILL HAPPEN WHEN I REMEMBER TO TAKE MY CAMERA
