Default 9 second Cobra racing at Willowbank this weekend!

Rob Armstrong has his 9 second nitrous small block Cobra entered in the http://www.prostreetnationals.com.au/index.htm "Fastest Street Car" style drag race meeting this weekend. $1,000- Prizemoney for the winner of the kit car/hot rod class. I'd say that he's a certainty....

Anyone else going?

Well, Rob ran a couple of 9.9s last night. Good strong, smoky burnouts had the crowd cheering each time!

His main competitor was a 9.7s 32 Hot Rod with a Crower injected big block chev. The hot rod won the night.

To top it off, on Rob's last run, he apparently snapped his driveshaft at about 2/3rds track. A few sparks, but not a major big deal, excpet for the fact that he dropped trans fluid at probably 120mph Luckily, the car stayed on the track without any further damage.

Not from Saturday night, but the gold Cobra in my photo gallery is the culprit.
