Ready to buy 17" Rims ???
G'day clan,
Im Melbourne based and are ready to shoe my little Superformance toy. After some expert help from Aussie Mike ( i've seen his workshop and he should be renamed cause he's got some nice toys he has made ) im looking a purchasing a set of Rims from OzWheels in Syd with a visit there next week to discuss final $, and selected centers colour.
I thought i may have been able to get a further discount if others are in need.
Just thought i flag the idea...
Regards Garrett

Rims
I would love to et in on a deal for those 17 inch rims the same as Sloths, but i better get the car first.
let me know if they are going to help with the cost if buying more than 1 set, i could be persuaded.

Garrett,
I purchased my 17" wheels from OZ. Just make sure they get the offset correct. Sloths and mine are wrong requiring a 6mm spacer so they clear the brakes. Also get OZ to replace the wheel joining bolts with SS in lieu of coated ones. I changed mine but it cost $80 and that was with big discount. The knock offs are a bit rough so make sure you are picky.

Phil, thanks for the info, i had thought that the team was let down by the painted bolts and was going to discuss the S/S option.
I'll use the spinners that came with the Superformance rims.
Do you remember what you paid for your rims, how long they took and were they on time ???
Regards Garrett
Hey Boxhead !
Will keep you posted on the $$, do you have a idea of you off set, and sizes you wer looking at ??

Garrett,
I paid $590 + GST and bought them through Classic Revival.
They took a long time to be delivered , over 6 weeks from memory.
Then when the offset was wrong took about 4 weeks to send spacer which was unpainted MS and the PCD was wrong. I have since made some in aluminium.
Make sure you spin them before the tires go on.
Regards,
Phil

Garrett,
Just put rims on balancing machine to check they run true. Being a three piece construction they will never be as good as a cast / machined rim. Mine ran pretty good. Tyre shop will tell you what is acceptable.

Phil

Hi guy's
Just be careful using stainless steel cap screw bolts as they will fatige. I have heared of a few people using the incorrect grade and going out to clean there rims and finding some cap screws with there heads broken off.
