Hi all

Have not been around for a few days. I have been up at McDonald Brothers racing working on the car.

Had a visit from Rob Hamilton who feels I will not be ready for Wakefield Park. Must get moving on it

Not to worry Mike Moore has offered me a drive of the new Cobra he is building.

Recently, had all the suspension back from the powder coating guys. Mostly done in aluminium coating.

As I promised I will get the photos on soon. Took the video but forgot to charge it.

Cheers to all

Bernie

Hi all again,

Being the type of guy I am I offered Mike the opportunity to bunk down in my room if he was really stuck. But thanks for the warning I may withdraw my offer now.

Heard he can work through the night and keep drinking as well.

Hey Jason, has anyone asked for a club listing with address, car detail etc. Or is there one

Found an old Hot Rod listing that also had details on what bits each person made, distributed or stole for you.

Any thoughts about doing this?

I purchased my windscreen from Steve M. after Doug told me he built them.

I am chasing some roll bar / body rubber or aluminium surrounds for around the roll bar and back support. Pretty rough on the cutting there.

Does anyone have a wiper assembly. Mini or similiar. Any thoughts on who may have them. Will try Northern Mini wreckers when next in Melbourne.

Think I have solved the bonnet scoop problem - more to follow on this.

Talk soon,

Cheers

Bernie

Default BMC wiper Motor

HiYa Bernie,
Re the wiper bits...you intimated you were after used ones but if you want new ones contact Don Pilling, Snake bite at the Gold Coast, Phone 07 5529 0877..he can help with the roll bar surrounds too.

I chased around for ages to find a second hand wiper motor for the RMC..was looking for the 120 degree/ 32 tooth for the RMC..found heaps of 90 degree stuff. I think its the 90 degree stuff which requires the 3 wiper arms to obtain the required sweep of the screen area.

Don Pilling above also has the chrome bezels and wiper boxes for the wipers.

Hope this helps

You all take care

Hi Bern'

Yes we do have a club listing, it's a part of the membership database.
We don't make all the information available to the club because of privacy issues.
Some people might get embarrassed if everyone knew they had to ware a curly red wig and big yellow shoes to work each day.

Once we get all our members on the database, a names and numbers listing will be distributed.

I'm glad I could bring a little sun-shine for your forum viewing pleasure.

I must say I was hoping for an insult.
It's been a good week since last I hung it on an interstater.

I hope Bernie takes it the right way.
I might not get an invite to 'Weekend at Bernie's II'

I have had it. I am taking my Happy meal and Big Mac and heading home.

I'm not playing anymore.

I have spoken with Don Pilling regarding the wiper motor after getting two Mini units that were siezed from the local wreckers.

Here is another question??? What small heater unit can I get from a wreckers that will fit up in the top of the footwell.

I have looked at the non water Desert Coolers heater units but have been told there are some very small Japenese units available that are better - any ideas on a make or model. What cost?

Talk soon. Cheers

Bernie

Dont blame ya Bernie..them Victorians are a mean bunch, specially the ones with them funny motors.

Re Heaters...Mate for what it is worth I scavenged the wreckers...ended up with heaps of stuff with heaps of leaks, or stuff which had little to no heating capability.

I did want good a good demister with fair interior heating ability.

Eventually got pi$$ed off and went with a Vintage compact heater demister. Model 50615-VUH.

http://www.vintageair.com/download/pdf_singles/27.pdf

I mounted mine on top of the tunnel behind the dash..two 2" pipes for demisters, and a vac operated trap door which lets air into the cockpit. Three speed blower which would compete with the worse Melbourne storm you can imagine.

Got it from TCR Components in Melbourne 03 97203006

Comes in a kit...blower/heater/demister unit...control switches..solenoids..wiring etc. Was good value considering what came with it, but i'm damned if I can remember how much it cost me...mind you..I did modify the top of my tunnel to give me a lil more room for it.

You all take care
