What sort of car is this motor in? I've seen you posting questions about cam/heads/intake for this motor for about 9 months, but I've never seen mention of the car? I don't care if it's not a Cobra, I'm just interested to see what sort of engine bay these Weber carbs are protruding from.

Like I said, I didn't care if it wasn't a Cobra. I've always been a Ford man, and it's always interesting to see what other guys are driving. No judgements, no pretensions, nothing sinister. I don't think you've given away anything about yourself except that you live in Sydney. I just find it easier to relate to others here if I know their name, or their car, or at least something other than the fact that they have a 347 with webers. No big deal.....

David - I don't know of anyone from up here that's going for that weekend, but if you can make it there for the first weekend in October you'll meet up with some Cobra guys for the National event. At any Cobra meeting, there are always Mustangs and GT40s joining in the fun. There's a guy up here with a 390FE powered 68 coupe that was tearing up the tarmac at Morgan Park Raceway a while ago - not the fastest, but quite likely the most spectacular
Shannons Insurance is sponsoring a day organised by the Historic Racing Car Club here at Queensland Raceway on 27th July, and the featured marque is Shelby. Already, something like 15 genuine Shelby Mustangs and Cobras have entered for some track time. Should be worth a look..... It helps that I live 20 minutes from the track

Fingers crossed!!! I've never been to Wakefield Pk, but it looks like a fun place to race when I see it on Speedweek. My Cobra is currently handling about as well as my 3900lb XY Fairmont, so I won't be competing in it until the suspension is sorted out. I don't care if I don't get it onto the track, the 3 or 4 day party is worth going to on it's own
So now's the fun time for you..... refitting all the door trims, rubbers and clips, windscreen and all body mouldings without scratching the new paint. Good luck!

David,
How about some pictures of the bad boy motor and the car it rest in. I'm like 750 a gearhead.
I put my car on the road last Friday after 6 months building it. What a thrill My little stroker screams
