That doesn't sound like it can be left alone so quickly.... Who was driving at the time? There was a bit of an incident up here last year where a potential buyer felt the need to check the frontal impact abilities of the car

Well here goes - guess I must be careful relating this story as I have it third hand
I was told by a reliable source that Laurie was alone and crossed the car up going onto or down a freeway ramp. It appears he may have kept the foot in and it went around into a pole on the freeway road edge backwards.
It gets worse because the pole apparently came down onto the rolebar edge and crashed down through the middle of the car
Again I am careful as this has come third hand.
Possibly someone in Victoria can confirm this or correct the story. Sounds really sh... though.
Cheers

Bernie - that whole "pole landing on the Cobra" scenario sounds eerily familiar to what I went through about 5 years ago... I hope he's alright?

3 Victorians go to the shops to escape the constant drizzle outside. While inside, they each put in $10- to buy an umbrella.
The checkout chick isn't too smart, but soon realises that she's overcharged them. She runs out to hand them back $5-. Seeing that they are wearing Cobra jackets and figuring that they don't need all the money back, she puts $2- in her pocket, and gives each of the guys $1- each.
So, the guys paid $9- each ($10- outlay, less $1- returned)
Checkout chick pockets $2-
3x $9 = $27
1x $2 = $ 2
TOTAL= $29
Where'd the other dollar go?????
Who's in control of the abacus now!?!

My goodness those QLD nights must be boring.....
Why would we go inside to get out of the rain when we drive Cobras (no roof)
If they paid 30 dollars and they got 5 back that would make the umbrellas worth $8.333333333333.
If she pocketed another 2 dollar that would make the umbrellas worth $9. the extra dollar never existed. The bird behind the counter was obviously a Queenslander and with that $2 she stole she could put a good deposit on a Qld property on the gold coast.
The only reason the Vic and NSW property prices are so high is to keep the QLD scum up north.

Dad's a Banana Bender now, living up in Hervey bay and he calls XXXX "barbed wire". He's strictly home brew or VB these days.
I enjoyed the Coronas. Only wish I didn't have to drive back to the Hotel or I could have enjoyed a few more
Hope to extend some hospitality to you folks when you're down south.
Cheers.

Scott, we agree on almost everything, but I'm afraid you're wrong about XXXX. At least the Goldies.... Give me a handful of ice cold Golds while standing around a barby with a bunch of friends, and I'm in heaven.
If I'm having heavies though, I have to admit I do have the occasional VB

XXX Gold
I would have to agree with you Craig.
Haveing lived in far north QLD for 12 years I did develop a taste for XXX gold.
Also I will never knock back a Crownie
One funny thing a Queenslander said to me once before was,
Only 2 good things come out of Victoria - The Beer and the Hume hwy.
As you could guess, he was a VB drinker
Sadly I think he was haveing a dig at me because at that stage I had only been in Qld for 2 years.

Which of the Shoe makers did you take around the F1 track.
I saw the Robnell cars at the Tattersall stand on Sunday and they looked great there and on the track with the drivers.
You may have answered this ealier. Sorry its an age thing
A credit to Rob Darnell and you guys. It was great for our marque .
One more question ? What colour is your paint blue?
Cheers
Must get back to work
