That doesnt sound like responsible driving 347, you should have tried harder and taken up 4 lanes!

Andy.

That's right - one lane per Weber.....
How did you manage to get it so far out of shape without the cops coming down on you like a ton of bricks? We'd have our car impounded for 48 hours if we did that up here...

Craig

firstly let me say the hume highway is only 3 lanes wide(i pay for rego each year so i thought i would use what is mine )

as for the cops, they are normally every where at an event such as that, but i took a punt (due to the amount of people watching the cars leaving)and it almost put me facing the gutter, oh **** is what i said when i saw the grass on the footpath comming

but some how got it into line and stopped at the next set of lights to do it all again !!

what gets into me when i drive that car????

Craig, your car should be impounded for 48 hours! Its a threat to national security!

Andy.

Andy, you'll be happy to know that it has been voluntarily parked for 7 days. I unbolted my sidepipes and took them back to the guy that made them for me. Scott's temporary "stuff the pipes full of steel and fiberglass" modification lasted longer than the 1 or 2 hours we were expecting, but the Cobras were allowed onto the track at Qld Raceway last weekend for 3 parade laps.

I gave the car a little bit of throttle, and I'll be damned if the whole great chunk of fiberglass didn't do it's best impression of a spud-gun and launch itself against the pit wall in a smoldering / disintegrating mess - much to the amusement of the track officials that had to clean it up..... Back to square one, and back to 103dB at idle. The revised pipes will have a stainless spiral running the full length of the sidepipes, the packing around the perf tube will now be stainless, and we might even throw a couple of these in there to see what happens. http://www.secureperformanceorder.co...ProductID=4733

now where is that couch...................
rebel ,
i am sticking with the hornet scoop until such times i can afford a better one and a mate of mine said he will build me an air box for my carbs only if i stick with the hornet scoop.......so i must stick with it for a little while

yes i am happy with engine, just needs a little fine tuning which it is getting next week(bloody webers)

sometimes i think the tremec is a bit of a pain
1st gear is a bit low but with 4.1 diff the 5th gear is heaven

on the subject of 5th gear, 110 klms, 2500rpm before i had the heads and manifold ported it was better to drive on freeway its not as responsive as it was before the porting, i guess it because the holes are slightly larger.....anyway i guess my hour is up
i will come back next week........same time?

Thats what big heads and cams do to ya 347....in a nutshell....all that just moves the power (read response) up the power band.
