Adrian, I was hoping to get few ideas on the following if thats ok.
I fitted the HX Kingswood accelerator pedalassy it seems to sit too low to the floor I asked Rob at G-Force if it needs to be modified and he said there should be enough room on the pedal box to fit it up higher.

I am not sure if you have fuel or gas, but I was wandering if the fuel tank brackets should be on top of the chassis rail or from underneath I have assumed from the underneath so the back of the tank does not protrude to far into the boot area.

I have the door opening mechanism and I thought before I start cutting holes where would be the best fitment and best way to secure to the door.

Thanks
Stuart

Hi Stuart,

I uploaded a bunch more photos of the things you were interested in.

The pedals I got were from G-Force but I wasn't happy with the pedal spacing (nearly kissed a wall coming onto the freeway ) so I took the assembly out and modified the gaps as well as lifting them about 20 mm. The accelerator pedal is the same one as yours and I ended up shortening this and welded a smaller pedal to it (from a Pugueot 504 at the wrecker !). This means the gas pedal is quite far over to the RHS but I figure thats where my foot will end up anyway. I will need to modify the pivot point of the gas pedal though as there is only about 40mm of travel from 0% to 100% throttle - too little in my opinion.
The plate that the pedal hinges off also need bracing as there is a bit of flex in it.

The fuel tank (70ltr) was fitted by Rob. As you can see from the photos, it could have been slung lower as the clearance is fine. It would also have meant the boot was roomier. I think I'll end up moving it eventually before I line my boot. Watch out for junk in the tank. It clogged my lifter pump which gave me a few headaches for a while. The tank currently attaches with two wide steel/rubber straps which mount to the top of the rear chassis rail. At the front, the straps mount to an angle bracket hanging from the diff.

The door latches & handles are again as supplied. I will get the car through engineering and then replace them. I'll use a XD/XF latch together with Morris Maxi handles (see picture). The current handle digs in the back of my arm (and this I find annoying after just 400 klms).

It's always easier to improve on something in front of you than it is to develop it in the first place. Hopefully you can use some of this info. Let me know if you need more info/photos.

Cheers, Adrian.

Thanks Adrian for the photos and info, should help me to cross off a few items on the "things to do list".
