She has arrived
Hi all.
The rolling chassis has finally arrived last week so now the fun begins. The engine thats been sitting in the middle of the workshop floor for the last 8 months can now find a home and I hope I don't have a problem with height.

Congratulations Chris, It's a great feeling to finally have the kit in your shed especially after waiting for a few months for it to arrive.
Cheers

congrats Chris
There are quite a few of us, building our dreams, on this forum so I'm sure you'll get many handy hints from builders as well as those who have finished, been there & done that
Are you a member of the Vic Cobra Club or been to meetings? If not, the meetings are a good source of info & where else can you talk about Cobras all night long and not cop stares of boredom ?
Good luck with the build
Cheers

Good Luck
Hello
Now that you have your car the fun really begins!
I have only been subscribing to this forum for a short time but have found it a "gold mine" for information and advice from fellow subscriber when needed.
Not sure yet what the guys think of a girl subscribing! However I am actively involved in a hands on way with our build.
If we had brought a kit from interstate I would have liked it to be the one you have.............love that AU dash setup!
Regards
Lyn McArthur

Hello Lynn, Us fellas already know that you're a bit of a petrol head and therefore can be pretty handy in the shed.
That gets ya 8 points.
Now..you can go to the top of the class 10 points if you can also cook, iron and wash.
Good to see ya here, and good to see you're helping ya man out.

Well done Chris and welcombe to the best fun of your life. I'll never forget the feeling of seeing my cobra in the workshop for the first time, the wait is certainly worth it. Good luck and enjoy all the help the forum gives

Chris,
We had no choice but to modify the throttle body to get the bonnet to close.
However since we have done that another person we know who has a Mustang had a similar problem with the hood closing - so he lowered the engine mounts and put a holden commodore throttle body with his Mustang 5.0L motor. He had to modify a few bits and pieces to get everything to line up, but apparently the commodore throttle body is very small compared to the standard ford one.
Hey Rebel1 - just for interest sake - I can cook & wash however I work full time r un a household - you know the usual story - so I have our ironing sent out and cleaning lady comes in once a fortnight!
Cheers
Lyn

Hey Lyn, I didn't say you had to so it...long as you can
You're still a ten even if you send it out.
Bet you're havin a ball helping re-build this cobra. With regard to your comment what us fellas think about ladies posting, I just wished there were more of you.
And you are right about this site...an absolute gold mine of information.
And..you know, the surprising thing about this site is not only the info and knowledge gained in asking questions, but also the willingness of perfect strangers to "go out of their way" to be of assistance.
You take care.
Cheers
