Hankook tyres ???
I am at the stage where I now need new tyres and have been having trouble finding them in a size to suite my Cobra.
I have found Hankook tyres in the required size so the question is, anyone have any experiance with Hankook tyres.
The sizes are 215/70R15H front and 275/60R15H rear.
Thanks,
Bryan

I looked at Hankook tyres for the wifes Jag a while back. I think their new silica compound tyres are very good. They recently won or did very well in a Wheels or Motor magazine tyre test. I'll try to find the article.
I've also had a set of Hankooks on my F100 for the past 4 or 5 years and while not a performance tyre they've done very well.
Cheers

Bryan,
What width do they come in ? Anything up around 300mm ?
Also, what's the pricing like on these ?
Thanks,
Adrian.

Tyres
Adrian,
the max size they have listed for this model of tyre is P295/50R15H they go a lot wider in say 16" and 17" but for the hard to come by 15" these are the widest.
Cheers,
Bryan
PS The price is very reasonable at $192 for rears and $146 for fronts they are their new silica based compound tyre.

Bryan,
Thanks for the info. 295's and 235's are what I'm running now so this might be a good option for when I need to replace. The price sounds very good. I'll be very interested to hear how they go - that's if you go ahead with them.
Cheers,
Adrian.

Bit the bullet
Thanks to all those that gave me positive feedback and the lack of negative feedback I went ahead and got the new Hankook tyres.
I have only had a short drive but the difference is cheese and chalk. The car handles different and now turns into corners instead of trying to push through them.
I don't know how they will go for wear as the tread compound seems quite soft.
Cheers,
Bryan
