Sorry Simon, but the shop's shut. I've done the last run. I had some quality issues with the last lot so had to get some lights redone which was all cost to me - to the point now that I had to sacrifice my own lights and will now have to get one or two replacements.
Cheers,
Adrian.

Adrian
when Darryl the Tiler ordered the 2 sets of dash lights, i'm the bloke the 2nd set were for. my project won't even start till next year so you can keep my set and i trust that will give you a good full set. i'll let Darryl and yourself sort out a return of money for i see from his post above that he has already sent it through.
enjoy
Don

Thanks Don,
Just PM'ed you but the lights are packed up and will be in the mail tomorrow. If you want to on-trade them to Simon feel free (you might even make a profit if you're crafty )
Thanks for the kind offer. The only cost to me was the blank lights - the engraver will re-engrave at his cost.
Cheers,
Adrian.

doesnt seem fair
Adrian,
It doesnt seem fair to me that you should have to pay for the screwed up lights when your just doing people a favour. So can you post what it cost so I can send you down my share of the screw up.

I agree with Tiler! You should have figured in a bit of margin to cover your costs. You did an excellent job on these lights and saved us all a lot of trouble. I for one will be giving you $10 at the next Cobra club meeting for your trouble. You can pocket it or buy your self a couple of beers.
Cheers

Oops
Oh Geeze, You guys are making it read as if I posted a sob story. It certainly wasn't meant to read that way. I was just trying to explain why I wouldn't be doing and more runs. I had fun doing the 1st and 2nd runs and the 3rd until I struck problems. This was annoying/frustrating/embarassing and - poof - there went the fun of it. The financial aspect was not that great but was just a contributing factor - so no money required (and will be rejected -but thanks).
I'm looking forward to meeting all you blokes at the Nationals. I'm easy to pick out. I'll be in the white gel-coater with no trim but a big grin. Just thinking about what I want to do (& spend ) to the car before October. Better get cracking. Hey, anyone know where a good place to buy a good but cheap helmet from (2nd hand or otherwise) ?
Mike, did you figure out what you're doing re accommodation at the Nationals ? I think I'll just go up on the Friday as I realised I have a holiday later in October so need the days (Phuket - who could forget that ?!). You were thinking about going up on the Thursday so probably easier for you to share with someone doing likewise. Anyone what to share a room for Fri, Sat, Sun nights ? I don't fart (much ) - honest gov !
Hey, I just realised I've hijacked my own thread - kewl.
Cheers,
Adrian.

Adrian, congrats on the ton, but I'm more impressed with having a topic that has thousands of views. Who would have thought that dash lights could bring so much joy to so many?

And he deserves top billing too ... but he really doesn't appreciate what he has done for mankind.
You all thought I bought these lights for the cobra...didn't ya?
Welllll.....actually, I found a better purpose for em. I mounted em in our bedhead...complete with switches.
Now I dont havta even talk to the minister for home affairs. I just glance at the bedhead and I know instantly what is expected of me.
I bought 6 switches ... go right ... go left ... start ... high beam ... and a couple of brake lights.
Trouble is......the brake lights must be faulty....cuz they wont turn off.
Real time saver these lights .. dont havta indulge in that foreplay crap either..
Darryl the tiler has even taken the idea a little further ... he's got a his and hers setup.
