Unhappy Robnell, where are you??

Does anyone know what happened to Robnell in Melbourne??

I heard they have shut their operations, is this true?

I purchased a Robnell last year and it is currently going through a complete makeover, I thought maybe I should ring Robnell to see if I could buy any parts off them and BAM, no company! so I think!

Thanks for that piece of information Craig, I didn't know it was up for sale, the only thing is no number exists on the directory and the website no longer exists! I'm a little peed off I must admit, but that's the way things go I guess! Craig, I don't know if you were at the nationals last year, I don't remember seeing your car?
Sounds pretty awsome!

Sloth, I was thinking of buying a bonnet without a scoop so that I could put a different one on it, when I couldn't reach them I decided to do something different with the original. But it is still nice to know that the company is still going! Someone will know sooner or later I'm sure!

Sloth, I have noted your misshap with your car! What happened? Your car looks fantastic now anyway! When mine is finished it would be great to get together for a cruise!

I was hoping to get to the nationals this year but I will be a first time daddy due in Oct, SCARY! Expected late Oct but who knows these days? Might want to arrive a little earlier than expected! We'll see!

Sorry about the delay in answers, I'm at my sister's super speedy computer! (not)

Sloth! What can I say? My lord! Congratulations! Too cute! Welcome Donald. You now need a baby seat made for the Cobra!

Craig, I'm actually taking photos as it is getting done! slowly! By Tuesday the paint will be finished, finally. Had a lot of body work as I made a few alterations on the body and you know how it goes, one thing leads to another, while it's stripped down you tend to take advantage of any change that can be done not realising that it is costing you a bomb! Just blew my budget and still a bit to do! Damn it!! Will be leaving out a few engine mods which can be done at a later date, just wanting to get it back on the road as soon as possible. I miss it! Will scan photos when roll has finished (yes I know, I'm just a little ancient when it comes to these things!) and try to post the step by step makeover, should be worth it! Though I am very much looking forward to the end result. Will be heading back home to a faster computer in the next hour or so. Should get faster answers guys. Sorry!

Stef

Stuart, have you seen it painted lately? if so, what do you think? good choice? Friday I spent 5 hours getting the stripes right, couldn't see straight after a while so I hope once painted they come out ok! I believe you have chosen the colour mine used to be with stripes! is this right? I don't even know if you know what colour mine was before! ha ha

Stef,

Last time I was there your car was at the primer stage, but I was talking to the painter about the process for masking up the stripes and it did not sound like an easy task.

I think I remember seeing your car black with red stripes, I am going with black with silver stripes (changed my mind about 30 times before I came to a decision).

I should hopefully be running fuel not gas, Jeff's going to work on it.

Stuart

Black with silver will look fabulous, the only reason I did not go with black again is because Bob (the painter) & Geoff were against it because of the alterations I made, they said if ever any sinkbacks came up on the glass it would show on the black! This was enough to convince me against it! So I've gone the opposite of yours, silver with black stripes! Right up until last week it was the traditional blue with white stripes, but like you, I changed my mind over and over again! now it's too late, there's no going back! Geoff is a good operater and knows what he is doing, my car is in good hands! Love to see the cars side by side when completed! The opposite colours will look fantastic! If you ever rock up and see some guy hanging around busting Geoffs chops, it's probably me (baldy!)
