Angry Don't you just hate it??

Hey all, just went to pick up developed photos of up to date makeover only to find out the machine that was being used malfunctioned and destroyed all but one photo!!! What do you do? How would you feel? It took all of my strengh not to blow the staff up in the photo shop!

Feels like you've lost something! What do you show friends what you've been through? The effort, the labour!! AAARRRRGGHHHH!!!!

The thing is, you can't go back and take them again! Imagine, my next important photos will be of my newborn! Not going back there! Could you imagine?

Sorry guys, thought I'd vent my frustration with people who understand!

Hope all is well with everyone and all are keeping out of trouble!

Stef

Unhappy Bugger

Gee Stef, would have to say I'd be pissed if it happened to me!!! Sorry to hear that, as I know it takes alot of work to build a cobra.

I have a new toy... its a mobile phone with a camera, & inside it is a removable multi media card where all my pics are stored, I can upload the pics onto the computer... cutting out the idiots who destroyed your film, cheeper in the long run. My gallery pics are from my mobile

PS: I've heard that there are some great sites on the net on how to make bombs...

Simon

Default Easy answer

Get a good digital camcorder that takes stills. That way you can also FILM your car and or build, and as stated above, cut out the nearly always irritating and often incompetent film developers. Been there/done that!

Default The idiot was me!!!

I kept the pictures of my build in a cardboard box that I stored in the trunk of my Cobra so I had them available when vistors wanted to take a look.

When I was ready to cover her in paint, I put the box along side others that I had in the shop.

One day... I decided to clean out the shop and burn all those empty boxes!

You guessed it.

No more pictures!

who 's the dumb a$$ now?

Stef,

BIB told you the solution to your problem. Although I don't have a digital video camera I do have a digital still camera and don't know how I ever survived withut it. As soon as yuo take a picture yuo can see what it is like and if you don't like it, just delete it and take it again. I also love the close focus as mine will focus down to 4/10s of an inch. Great for sending pictures of small stuff in the cars. I have 3 Nikons and a ton of lens plus another 35 MM camera that haven't been out of the bags for 2 years. I am spoiled by the digital camera I guess.

Ron

Ron

That digital still camera sounds like it has the works. What type/brand are you using there?

Thanks for the compliment Mando. I want to see it finished more than ever, have been on Geoffs (engineer) back to get the job done asap so I can take it to the nationals, not to race or anything, just to have the pleasure of driving it again and show it to people who appreciate it! It's been ages now, I'm hanging!

Ron, thanks for the advice, I am still very bitter about what has happened, a fair amount of bodywork went into it to get it to paint stage and not being able to verify the amount of work that was done, or even to have photos of it's transformation. (my car is a 14 year old now thus requiring a little facelift!)

A digital camera has been on the pipeline for some time now, unfortunately I have not got one yet! This is the punishment! As I constantly say to myself.......build a bridge! (and get over it!) what's done is done!

Thanks all

Stef
