Default Calling Ozvenom

Hello our Antipodean Comrades.

I'm trying to get in contact with one of your fellow countrymen, a man of true pedigree who goes by the name of Ozvenom.

I have long admired his skill in mating a Lexus engine to a manual box and giving both a bit of a bite with a turbo or two bolted on for good measure, so much so that I am now thinking I may want to emulate his success back here in good old blighty.

Having been daft enough to put the overly complex BMW V8 lump and Tiptronic box into a Cobra, which performs better than I had hoped, I now feel the need for a new challenge and a twin turbo Lexus engine fits the bill nicely. Although I wont be the first, Ozvenom holds that distinction, with a Lexus engined Cobra I still feel that the novelty value alone in doing this installation in a UK Cobra will make it worthwhile.

Therefore I'm wishing to pick the brains of the "lexus meister" in a bid to make the installation go a bit more smoothly than the BMW one, which was just like my first wife.......a complete *****, bloody expensive, and a total pain in the bum.

I have sent the gentleman an email via the club but have had no response.......is he still around and if so could someone persuade him to get in touch with me as time is short as I have already placed the order for my next kit.

Cheers,

Tony

Ozvenom is Scott Hampson and is based in Brisbane.

Have'nt caught with him for a while, but he is still heavily involved in the Cobra Industry.

I'm sure he'll catch up with you through this Site.

Scotty,

I see the Beast is for sale - Are you making way for a Lexus Daytona or has the house extension finally got the better of you?

Hope to catch up soon

Tony, I've sent you an email thru here adising Scotty's phone numbers.

You are correct...he is the " lexus meister ". His car..and many he has built with the Lexus powerplant are really very nice cars. He knows how to make em nice and docile for the street, or mean and nasty just like his own car.

Oi....Whats this Antipodean bit...just cuz you live the other side of the world doesnt give ya the right to call us names.

Talking

Many Thanks ,

I will now officially forgive Australia for sending my Mrs back to the UK as a failed "£10 pom" in the early 70's.

Cheers,

Tony

PS For our American cousins the £10 refers to cost of a subsidised ticket for the voyage...............
