Soft top
Needs some ideas please. The upholstery guy has done a real nice job on the soft top but is stumped as to how to attach side curtains to front screen post without it looking crook.
Has anyone seen a good way to do this.
The soft top is only a precaution , its not going to rain at the Nationals, truly

Side curtains
Phil,
My side curtains have a strip of metal sewn into the front edge of the curtain.
With the curtain zippered across the top and down the back and studded to the top of the door the curtain does not flap in the wind.
I have also seem curtains with velcro down the front edge of the curtain and the other part of the velcro glued down the side of the windscreen post.
Cheers,
Bryan

Phil,
My curtains as with Bryan's have a strip of metal sewn into the bottom of the curtain this stops most of the flapping problem. For the front attachment I have just two lift-a-dot posts down the side of the inside of windscreen. The soft side curtains just has an extra flap that attaches to these. Seals the curtains fine and does not flap. Very simple and can barely see the attachments. Also easy to attach from inside the car
When I was getting my roof done the trimmer suggested a sliding attachment like when you attach the old annexe to a caravan. A plastic rope is attached inside the front flap and you need to make a couple of 1/4" tubes with a milled opening down the length. The tubes are attached inside the window frame and the curtain will slide inside. I decided that this was a little complicated but would work very well I even milled up a couple of tubes to start but for the amount of time the roof is on I did not want spend a lot of time on this.
Bryan's suggestion of Velcro would work well also.
I can take some photo's of my set up if you like.
Regards
TC

Just been looking at a 3m product for protection of the Cobra front. Its a clear stick on.
It could be run along the top of the door to prevent rubbing from the side curtain?? Is this an issue though??
Has anyone experienced any problem with the side curtains marking the paint?
Nearly time, when we will not have to worry about roofs and side curtains - I hope
Bernie

Thanks for the ideas. Ended up not having any side curtains until I think about it a bit more or it starts rainig.
Soft top turned out real nice. Highly recommend Mike Cooper at Asquith for any one who needs top.
Only 18 more sleeps to the Nationals

Hi Bernie,
I saw Mr Pinks cobra photo some time ago before I knew it was Mr Pink's. Then Mike Murphy put me on to Kirkham site and they had just finished a car in that scheme and I just had to follow that colour scheme. As you can see from my Cobra interpretation I like to be different and change things. A bit of a curse sometimes.
Anyhow apart fom finger marks on the black paint I love the colour, sure gets a lot of thumbs up when I am driving it, well thats what my kids tell me, Iam too busy watching whats happening in front of me.
Your realise there are only 16 more sleeps to the Nationals. If I dont finish a few more things there could be a few less sleeps

Will be there also
Phil
Must get a photo of our two Cobras together to send over to Mr. Pink.
Will be there at the Nationals. I will be about 90% finished. Have not entered as I have had a small problem with my engine, which I am sorting out as we speak.

Boxhead
I will there but as spectator. Will have the Cobra also.
If you have not entered I will possibly catch up with you around town. There's plenty to do and plenty of places to eat etc.
Cheers
Bernie
