Qld ClubCobra Christmas lunch !!!
I had a great time at PCC's place about this time last year, and I'd love to meet up with everyone again for a BBQ and a quiet ale. I'd invite everyone to my place this time, but I don't own a BBQ, and I live out in the boonies !!!
I'm thinking if everyone nominates a Saturday or Sunday that they're available, we might just go to one of the many parks around that have BBQ facilities and sit around listening to Les' tall stories ! If no-one feels like cooking, let's just order a pile of fish and chips and go and sit on the beach somewhere.
Low key and stress free sounds like a plan. There's a lot of things organised through the Qld club already, so I hope we can organise a weekend in between to catch up.

Name some dates Craig,
And we'll hopefully be there.
Not the 12/13 November - QLD X-mas do,
If you want a beach, you'll struggle at my end (those bloody mangroves) other than Wello Point - that's where we met last time.
Redcliffe or Scarborough sounds okay as long as Les has a word with the local hoons - him being one
How about up Mt Cootha somewhere or:
That's it I know the ideal place.....................
The Winery (Sirromet Wines) at Mt Cotton.
We could reserve some seats - drink as much plonk as you want and order as many cheese platters as you can eat.
Its safe and very relaxing - Can't bring your own booze though
Hope the above helps

Yep...I'm in for a low key stress free BBQ.
Last year was great. Pete (PCC) and his catering manager Jackie went to a heap of trouble. Too much work for the ladies though.
Whats say this year we go upmarket and venture to the Northside.
Hows about Redcliffe?. Suttons beach has a great picnic area with sealed parking right next to the picnic tables ( keep an eye on the cars) and shelters. Clean toilets and sandy beach.
Even a cafe close for those wanting fish and chips, ice creams ect.
There are council BBQ's but one can cook faster with a bic lighter.
If this is a go, I will provide a 4 burner gas BBQ and some esky's and ice for the liquid stuff. A pub is just up the road should refreshments not prove sufficient.
You just bring yaselves, partners, kids, and whatever ya wanna cook and drink.
Great area for kids too.
What do ya think?...I'm easy though so any more thoughts?

Sounds good Les. If we keep PCC away from Sirromet, he might be able to afford his "work of art" ARE radiator after all !
Cameron mentioned any of the first three weekends in December. I can make any of those, such is the beauty of no longer being self-employed !
So 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th or 19th ? So many options... I haven't seen the Qld calender for December. Has anyone?
