Lee and I should be able to make it.

Used to live real close to Redcliffe, went there so many times for a cruise along the water in the old blue Cobra.

Now at coast, so a bit of a trip to get there.

Map of Redcliffe

Hey all,

In my gallery you will find a map of Redcliffe with an arrow pointing to the picnic site.

Just find your way to the old hornibrook bridge..now called the houghton Highway, go over the bridge and veer to the right to follow the Hornibrook esplanade along the water front.

Take any of the following streets to the left..Maine, Victoria, or Oxley and continue to Macdonnell, turn right and continue till you hit salt water.

Just before you hit water is a roundabout with security gates off on the left hand side. Thru the gates and ya there.

I'll be getting there a little early to commandeer a few car parks close to the picnic sheds we select.

Cheers

Hey Les......

Jack wants to know if the first wife will be there ?

And if she is, I hope YOU will be providing all the nibbles - you being the Chief Organiser .

Also, did you choose this venue just so you could roll out the Cobra on a set of trolley jacks down to the beach?

Scott, kids don't stay baby's for long do they.

Just read my message and it doesnt sound right (not that they do anyway).

The note re: nibbles was for you and not for your first wife!

By the way, what wife are you on now?

Oi Pete...I invited the first wife and the minister for home affairs at the same time.

Told her it was on and she was invited ...can't remember what her answer was, but there be a good chance she'll be there.

Nibbles are on me...just bring the real food ya wanna eat...like I'm not going to go purchase a herd of beef on the hoof to feed you lot.

Bring whatever ya drinkin too.

I'll bring the fire...some nibbles .. and some ice to keep the coolies cool all in suitable containers ( ice boxes etc). I know some wont/cant carry an esky in the boot in a cobra.

Just tell jacky to get her butt over here the night before so she can make up the salad, and load the Magna for me..

Oi again Pete .... still on the first one Pete...just call her the first wife to keep her on her toes.

I know the nibbles was for me .. Not for her. Told ya before, I've led a very sheltered childhood and only had 2 kids before I found wot caused em...gave it up then.

Actually, talkin about kids growin up....the lil lady in the pic is my little girl Belinda who got married 3 weeks ago.

I now own shares in a vineyard at Dayboro .. wot a reception

You being teh Chief Organisor and bottle washer, at what time would you like us to appear at this extravagent event?

And don't say 7AM as I like to read the Sunday Paper and wash down a few fresh coffee's before hitting the streets

I also understand that REbEl with be providing beer for us southeners and nibblies , i must say less that is very good of you.
now we have to put in our preferences for the type of beer .
Mine are coronas/crownlarger/millers is good . but if the budget is a bit streched i will settle for cascade lite .

Too all others attending you better let les know your preferances.

OZ

Les,

That's very kind of ya to provide the beer as well as the eskies and ice

As I'm not a fussy one whatever beer you get for Scott will do me.

Do you want anymore Cobra's there?

If so, I'll volunteer to find them

I've seen it all - an Englishman using the word "ya".

Les, you're corrupting Peter. Knock it off. Oh, and I'll have to agree with Scott's Corona / Crownie options. Thanks for your hospitality !

Sheezzzzz!!!

You blokes are cruel...

Here I am...just married off my daughter.....don't know where or when my next disposable dollar is gonna turn up and you fellas have already spent it.

To make it all worth my while....I'll accept the suggestion..on one condition.

I'll make ya a deal. I'll provide the booze ( not that any of ya are heavy drinkers) if you supply the meat.

One condition...the meat has to be on the hoof...or hooves in your case...Pete...you've got the beef/veal...young tender calf of whatever breed would be nice....but a living breathing walking 4 legged one.

Now Scotty...you started this little venture so you've got the pork. A nice piglet will be nice. A living breathing walking 4 legged piglet...

And Craig...Given that you've joined this little mutiny, you've got the lamb, Dont care if the thing has been shorn or not...but it's gotta be breathing and able to walk around all by itself.

There ya go chaps ( got the chaps thing from Pete) , Turn up with these living animals and the booze is yours to consume at no cost.

Now....be warned fellas...turn up with these animals and expect to be photgraphed in all manner of poses and those images distributed on the net to all our club cobra brothers

The ball's in your court.

Now, If any of you others wanna join this mutiny, I've got a whole zoo to work thru yet...like chooks, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, kangaroo, crocks, fish...c'mon ... make my chrissy a good one.

Ohhhh....This is gonna be a great chrissy!!!!!

Les,

Don't try to waffle us all with ya (your - sorry) sexual preferences - just get the beer in those eskies with plenty of ice as its hot riding in these sports cars especially when we come up to the sun blister capital of Brisbane.
