Over the Bridge....slight right, then along the beach front....look for tourist information building on the right at a set of lights. I think it's called pelican park. Can't miss it...huge park with picnic sheds...boat ramp...shelters...kids playgrounds etc etc. All sealed roads around the park.

We can ensure heaps of parking within sight of the shed we choose. Keep an eye out for a pewter coloured Magna sports 548-GQQ. Mobile 0419 721 731 if any problems...We'll be in one of the shelter/picnic sheds.

Hey Les,

What's Plan B if this rain continues to dump itself all day on Sunday?

If it continues, I think it will be easier to charter a speed boat to get to you

Have you an undercover alternative or wise one?

Can drive the Cobra in the rain, but the problems start when its parked up!!!

John & I(and partners) won't be able to come now. Got family commitments that we can't get out of.

Pete...plan B was the different venue.

Sadly, It appears the med term weather forcast says that sunday is gonna be rat$hit.....worse than the last couple of days.

Given that, I don't think that driving a cobra in blustery showers with afternnon thunderstorms is going to be a pleasant experience.

Soo...unfortunately the day is off, cancelled, kapoot, ziltch. Suggest you all stay at home and cuddle ya better half.

Given the weather looks like staying until well into next week, it seems a new year get-together might be the way to go.

Cheers all...

Well - who would have thought the QLD weather would have cancelled an event

Wet one day, wetter the next

Will post an E-Mail to the Cobra Club advising them of the situation.

I reckon you just could'nt get hold of a 4 burner barby

Pete....Me thinks maybe someone down south has been doing a rain dance just to get back at us.

Few weeks back I was looking for rain for the lawns.....now I'm sick of it. This looks like it's staying till Chrissy

Thanks for your efforts Pete.... Lets get together in the new year.

Cheers

I also told the first wife that I'd cop $hit if it was great weather.

Least I got that bit right

Sheezzzl.....am I pi$$ed or what?....I spent weeks training those bluddy pelicans

Yeah - you can't win, can you! Not to worry. It is a shame, because Dad went to a 40 year reunion for a heap of Wests Rugby League club at the Broncos tonight, and came back with a bloody great meat tray that he won. That would have gone down just nicely at the BBQ....

If it's not too early to start planning, I'd put my name down for a 9/1/05 BBQ.

Come to think of it, the main thing that worries me now is finding out what you're doing on the internet at 1am ???

Les,
While the others are snuggled up with their better halves, I'm sitting here trying to find a nice set of 20" wheels to bring back for the XY. What's that.... get a life, did you say?!?!?

It's now 1.45am, and I think I found some.

Mmmmm.... a set of 20x8.5" with 245/35/ZR20 Nittos, shipped to Longbeach California (where the container leaves from) for $1300US. My correct stud pattern and offset. Same combination over here is around $4000. Yeah - there are deals to be had !

That's a deal alright Craig. I'm still seriously thinking about Bonspeed Intense 5, maybe even in 18's.

Oh Les, it's Sunday morning on the coast and all I can see is blue sky.
