Now Now fellas....Steve Bracks is a Victorian and I think it's bad taste to say these sorta things about him. You never hear me degradating our Victorian brothers that way.

Anyways, Steve has seen the error of his ways.

You all know that Steve is in love with toll roads, and, his boys in blue have had a $hitload of problems with their speed cameras ...had to give back a $hitload of fines they did.

Sooooooo...what Steve is gonna do now ....Every car sold in Victoria will be fitted with a small GPS thingy which will log onto the Dept of Transport main frame every time you start ya car.

Speeds will be monitored and fines automatically debited to ya bank account. Tolls will be handled a similiar way. If you are being really really norty, the server will throw a switch and ya car dies on the side of the road.

Then the system will auto call up a tow operator to get ya car off the toll road and the cost again debited to ya bank account.

There ya go....Is Steve a dick or what?....didn't know he had it in him did ya.

Don't laugh fellas..this very scenerio can happen.

Some interesting figures i found in "Mustangs and Fords" mag the other day. We all frown at the wieght of a big block but the 4.6 which the 5.4 is based on wieghs nearly as much as an "FE". Don't have figures for the 5.4

These are only with intake sump etc, no anncillaries

Windsor up to 302 209 kg - 460 lb
windsor 351 238 kg - 525 lb
Clevo 250 kg - 550 lb
Modular sohc 4.6 272kg - 600 lb
" dohc 4.6 279 kg - 614 lb
FE b/b 390/427 284 kg - 625 lb
385 b/b 429/460 327 kg - 720 lb

Ls1 350 about same as 351w ?

LS1 = 180kg or 396 lb

I've asked FPV, who manufacture the Boss 5.4 DOHC, for weight specs and its........

276 kg or 607 lb.

From what i've been reading on the web, the standard block and forged steel crank are good for 1000hp. It's heavy but strong.
