25,000 in 12 months
Well there it is 25,000k's in 12 months - 15,000 miles.
I found my November 2003 speedo reading on a sheet of paper in my car files and realised after checking that I had travelled over 25,000k's in my Cobra in the last twelve months.
I was surprised to see I had spent far to much time in my Cobra...
Guess that's what it was built for..
Well the sun is nice and warm and I may just have to go for an early morning
run down the coast....
25,000 plus say another say..300 or so today in the sun..
Bernie

If that was your company car you would only be paying 11% FBT

Fantastic!
I will be right behind you .. as soon as I get the bugs sorted out in my car. I put 1k on mine this summer, but that includes alot of down time to fix some problems.
Have fun with your car!

Aussie Mike
Company built, company fuel and company insurance and rego. Do you think I'd be game to play around with FBT after that deal...
You missed a good BBQ and a few beers at Garrett's. I travelled up with Bryan. Cold trip home though - heater only works on his side footwell..
Talk soon
Bernie

You haver some great driving roads there - so have fun.
I travelled down to Bowling Green last year and past a silver Cobra with driver and passenger enjoying the quite road and sunshine.
Our summer is nearly on us, so hopefully I'll get a few more on the speedo.

Thanks will keep that ride in mind.
Perhaps down to Bowling Green to the museum there...
I turned up at the Corvette Museum and forgot I had the 'Shelby' shirt on. Wondered why I was getting a few stares from the Corvette boys.
Took in the museum and a factory tour. Even started a Corvette..Aaaah bit my tongue...
Left KY and headed up to Owensborough and to Evansville Indiana where I spent a few days prior to the Run N Gun with 'wtcobra' Wayne and his family.
Yes may catch you.. had a great time there.
Cheers
Bernie

Bern,
I was going to ask you to come up for my son's formal last week and drive him into the city - just so that you could add a few more miles
And now that the monsoon season is passing, the rain will only occur during the night
Very civilised up here.
Oh and Brisbane is now officially the cleanest city in Oz.
Better mop up that brake fluid spewing out onto the garage floor

Grand Prix? In the box?
I'm trying to get a media pass for the GP next year so I can get some nice photos trackside - but of course, I doubt it'll happen......

Good luck in getting a media pass.
The F1 GP committee make up their mind as to who they think needs to cover the event. The rest stay out..
Even Ron Walker has trouble getting local medi people in. ..
Just tell a good story..

You are correct, I will be joining you and Rohan at the F1 GP in the box next March; I can hardly wait. The only thing up in the air is my exact schedule. I'm not working now, but if I get an H.R. Consulting gig, I may have to postpone my New Zealand leg , depending on how flexible my new company may be. Perhaps I could convince them to let me work from my Powerbook while I'm white water rafting, visiting wineries, etc. Anyway, I will do Perth, to visit my relatives and of course Melbourne, to do the Grand Prix. Next time you're in Northern California you'll have to have breakfast with the BACC guys at Athens Burgers in Dublin and/or Bajis' in Mt. View.
Well, it's time to crawl under the beast and find out where my electricity went. Having a fairly authentic Cobra does have its downside. Good ole Lucas, Price of Darkness! Rich

Good to hear that you are going to make the F1.
Looking forward to catching up and having a drink or five..
It's walking distance to Rohan's from the track or.. ..distance.
