Default Bogand Nirvana - Summernats

Well well, Summernats has hit an all time low if you ask me. Heres what some freinds had to say:

1. An eight year old child was seen screaming "flash me ya titties biatch!" in the natex street.

2. Some of the crowd kicked in the rear quarter panel of a custom car after the bloke refused to do a burnout.

3. Various rotary freinds were assaulted because they werent driving V8s.

More and more its just becomming an attractiion for Bogans to go feral. The true enthusiasts arent going anymore.

The last time I was at the summer nats was back in 1990, it was a great car show back then.
From the write ups you see and the reports you hear it is getting worse each year with young idiots.

The young idiots are the ones that have watched their parents perform/behave there.

We have them in our business all the time. Trash the joint, throw some food around. Someone else will clean it up. Their parents watch and laugh -FUC Macca's that silly bitc can clean it up..

Sorry to say, but I think these events are not to blame. They are still good quality events. I know Chick Henry and Geoff Cannock who run the 'Summernats' and know that they stopped the street cruises due to these idiots mentioned.

They bottled and threw cans at cars after owners refused or just did not do burnouts. Again, the product of their upbringing.

Guess they just need more and more Security staff to control these FUC WITS.

Will not be taking the Cobra up there..

Has anyone been to Bathurst recently????
The mountain resembled Bagdad when we were there!!!!
I was amazed at how young some of the children were camping up there, talk about teaching them young.

The race was fantasic though.

I'll post some photos that channel 10 wont show if anyones interested.

Thumbs down Would love to see those photo's

A good friend of mine is in the Vic flaggies who make the trip
every year.2004 will be his last due to the hooligans that ruined his trip. The same old story too many pissheads and not enough
brains (Torana Car Club for example) they broke his mates windscreen (a fellow flaggie) and dented his car.The main problem
was the atomic bombs someone was letting off all during the night..Not very safe for all the kids that were up there.
My last bathursts were 91/92 after the crap we had to deal with
on those occasions I said I would never be back (for the V8'S)
The 2L cars were great,no crowd, women you would like to sleep with in the crowd and crownies at the bar,my kind of event.

Summernats is great fun - like dad said, we have been up there a numbe of times...

As for the rotary guy copping a flogging - I read about that on ausrotary... it had nothing to do with the car - but the driver being a git.

My mates went in all sorts of cars - a 996 Turbo porsche and minis... they managed to stay safe and have fun.

There is always going to be an element of stupidity with alcohol and egos in the crowd... but if you shut your mouth - especially with certain volatile minorities - you can avoid the trouble easily, and have a great time...
