A question for the people that have been there done it......

I currently have very old BF Goodrick TA'S all round.
235x15x60 Front 275x15x60 Rear.

I want to keep the 15" rims and have the choice of
Yokohama 352's that the tyre people say are much better
that the TA'S. I know you dont have to be a brain surgeon
to know that........

Is there any think else out there that is better?
I know of the new 275x15x60 Comp TA that have just
been released,would they be to sticky for everyday use.
The car will only do 2-3 club/drag events per year.......

Help please.........

Stiffy, I cant comment on which is the better tyre but I am very interested in the new tyres being produced in the US by tireguy.

By the way, I have purchased the Yokos 352 for mine in 235/60/15 and 295/50/15. I believe the 295/50 rears match the size of the 235/60 fronts better than the 275/60 rears.

For this reason I wont be getting 15s
Instead I've ordered 18s, 8s on front 10s o the back

Most tyre manufactures make up to 285's some up to 335's

The choice is then huge!

Btw I'm considering using 245/40/18 on the front and 285/40/18 at the rear. This would made the rear tyre 32mm higher than the fronts and give 114mm in sidewall height so the wheel won't look like it's wrapped in liquorish. Front's will have a sidewall heigh of 98mm. Hopefully it will be a balanced look as well as perform. Any thoughts?

I've often thought it would be nice if the 315/35/17 tyres on the back of mine filled up the guards a bit more. Plenty of width there but a bit more height would be good.

Check out www.tirerack.com and punch in the sizes you're after. this will give you a good starting point of what's available in the US and then you can see what you can get locally from there.

Checking out the range on tyrerack it looks like there is a Good Year GT II in those sizes. Looks pretty cool and traditional with the white Good Year lettering on the side.
