Default Bored outa my skull

Hey there everyone, as the title says I am as bored as I can be.
I have been lurking around here all week trying to keep myself entertained.
So come on now everyone, where is the mindless drible and banter?

I do have plenty to do but for this week I am 525 kls away from my car.
Thanks again to all the QLD guys with offers to get my seats, they have arrived in Alice Springs but I wont see them until saturday arvo.
On another happy note, I have just been told I am driveing a hilux back to Alice as it is sold down there. Looks like a slower trip home than the drive up.

As they say in the TV add "Bugger!"

Would have thought you would have your wiring loom spread out all over the motel room floor.

Cheers

I only wish I had my dash panel, then I would have had plenty of time to make it as pretty as the wiring on the ffr on another thread within this site.

Thanks for the link there Shelby400, it is a great site with plenty of great cars.
I have allways loved the plymouth road runners, I would love to have one in my shed beside the cobra, for those days when it may be too cold or wet

Lightbulb mindless dribble and banter - we'll I'm here!!

Boxhead

...mindless dribble and banter..

Well I'm always here and 'Posting'

When I was without my car I often checked out the gallery photos and the 'FFR' site to get colour ideas etc.

But no doubt you have done all that during work time..

Just head down to the local bar.

Cheers

I have been reading most of that thread but it doesnt really interest me.
Another story to make you laugh, I went to a mates place for dinner last night (works here) and I thought "I will buy a drink at the bottlo on the way there, well when I got to the bottle shops they are all closed, so I go into one of the pubs and I was told I could not buy any take aways as today was thirsty thursday, I said "what the hell is thirsty thursday?".
He replied "Every thursday they legally cannot sell alchol that is going to be taken away, the reason for this is that on thursdays the government hands out there cheques to the local indigenous people and if the bottle shops where open they would spend all there money on beer and port and not buy any food for themselves or there kids".
Well I shook my head and walked away with a bottle of coke.
Luckily my friend allready new all this (being local) and he had a bottle of wild turkey that we gave a fair old nudge.

He is dreaming alright. That's a datsun 260Z with a body kit on it. You can buy one of those body kits for about 5 or 6K depending on who you buy it from.

I thought that is what the dash looked like.
I will be getting one of those for My wife Ronda after the Cobra is finished, It wont be a convertable though.
How do you think I would go fitting the LS1 into one of Ians datsun ferrari kits, or is it too much of an engine increase to pass the rules?
I will have a spare stock motor at a later date as I have a sp[are motor for modiying after the car is registered.

P.s Mike, yours is ready to go whenever you want it, do you want me to get some quotes to freight it to either your house or your work?

Boxhead,

Your alloy battery box is finished

I will pick it up tomorrow, bring it to work Thursday, wrap it and await your advice on how to send it.

Boxhead,

The battery box is designed to fit an OPTIMA 34/78 red top.

This battery CCA (-18degrees C) is 750 and 980 MCA at 0 degrees.

Starts the LS1 very easily.

Costs about $300.00

Phil.
