Default Light Switch

Don't you love it when the courier drops Cobra parts off.

My clutch arrived this morning. It's a SPEC stage 3 that's rated to 700 ft/lb of torque. The more I look at it the more I think this thing is going to be a light switch.

It looks like it uses sintered bronze pads or some similar hard material. The sprung center should take a bit of the shock out of it but I think it'll still be a bit savage.

Combining this clutch, a lightweight flywheel and 3.9-1 rear gears and I think i have a recipe for wheel spin. I guess I'll have to wait and see when I get it on the road.

Cheers

What's the bet that we'll soon see uncle Mike playing with hydraulic slave/master cylinder ratios?.

Oi Mike...the car only weighs less than 1200 kg.

Your left leg is gonna wind up twice as big as ya right one....then all you'll be able to do is walk around in circles.

6 years of driving a manual Ford F100 and I've already got Arnies left leg.

I bought a 7/8" clutch master cylinder rather than 1" that Ian reccomends. I've also tweeked the pedal ratio so I'll see how it all goes.

Cheers
