G,day Bernie and Marshall.

There will be a few of us meeting at the shell servo at Laverton ,just prior to the Point cook turn off, at around 7.30 am.
We are planning to have break fast at Avalon in a roadhouse cafe
How many others out there are going?

Default ALL FORD DAY

All,

Meeting place at the Shell Servo at Point Cook sounds fine for people going down on the freeway. Thanks for organising this Bill. I will be in Geelong anyway so I will see you at Geelong.

I will find out today if some others will be going on the ferry from Sorrento and work out some details to post here.

We have an area booked for the Cobra Club at Deakin.

I will get some more details and post on here and send email to the club members.

Cheers

Hi all

Point Cook 'Shell' servo sounds good. I'll get up a little earlier and drive up to meet you guys. Look out for me on the roadside or at the BP cafe/servo. at Avalon.

Breakfast isn't too bad there with bacon eggs etc. available.

The McCafe opposite Ford Geelong north also has a good breakfast and fare!!!!

See you all. Weather looks good - if I'm reading the screen right way up..

Cheers

Bernie

Just re checked the weather looks good.

I'm now heading over to Geelong early Friday from South Australia.

My aim is to still head up the Geelong Road and meet you guys on the way down from Point Cook or at the BP at Avalon if I'm a little late...

Now are we letting the "Dark Side" attend...

Cheers

Bernie

Wink If lost

Head straight for Geelong and stay on highway 1 through Geelong toward Colac. At Waurn Ponds in front of Bunnings turn right into Deakin University and your there.
If still lost call my mobile 0410439164
Cheers,
Bryan

PS I'll be the one with the cold engine as I live just down the street.

Whoaaa

What a great day.

Our site at the All Ford Day, had over 25 Cobras on display.

It was good to see so many people out and about.

The Melbourne guys caught up with me on the side of the Geelong Highway.

We then had a Bacon and Egg breakfast at the BP servo prior to heading onto the All Ford Display...

Good sitting there having breakfast and watching the passing parade of Ford vehicles heading down the highway to Geelong.

The site at the All Ford Day allowed about 20 cars, but we double parked and more came onto the site. A few new faces and Cobras there on the site which was good.

Tony was able to talk to a few potential members and builders during the day with our site being one of the more frequently visited.

Mid afternoon saw us head off in no orderly fashion - two and three at a time.

I was one of the last to leave but parked on the side of the road and watched the crowd encourage everyone who left - to spin the wheels.

The new GT utes and sedans can certainly get those wheels spinning with more rubber left on the roads than at the local drag strip. A nice little '32 Ford highboy Street Rod showed the crowd that it was go as well as show.

We took off, as I thought it would not be long before the organisers rang the Police. The crowd had more video cameras going and cameras flashing than I had ever seen. Well must be the hoon in me...

After a coffee and cake at McDonald's on the highway to Melbourne, I left Bryan, Doug Pierce, Deb, Frank and Rob Hamilton to head home.

Todd and I took a short drive around Geelong and down to the F1 race boats at the foreshore to see what they were up to. Nothing like watching a 40' race boat skim across the water to round the day off.

Well its back to South Australia this morning. Weather looks good.

Again, a great day at the All Ford Day. A good one to keep in mind next year.

Cheers,

Bernie

Had a good day, plenty of good conversation and lots of cars to check out. Got a bit sun burnt even though it was overcast all day.

Bernie, looks like your boss did one to many burnouts...
