Default Nuts

Hey there again.

This forum has been a great help with all my questions so far but I think I might have a question that will be hard to answer.

My boss races dune buggies as most of you know, He is going to have a fair nudge at the Australian championships this year and is building alot of spares and rebuilding everything between races, The car uses a V6 from the camry with alot of work (twin turbo amongst other things)

The motors are being assembled useing studs instead of bolts wherever possable.
He is looking for nuts to suit the camshaft upper journal bolts, the studs are 7mm with a 1 mm thread pitch, does anyone know where we can buy approx 150 of these?
They need to have a flange on the lower edge.

If you know someone who sells them please e-mail me at davidr@peterkittle.com.au

Thanks again.

Here are some pics

Lucky last, this isnt my boss but it gives you an idea of the speeds on a section of race track (not a fast section)

Yes that is 195

Can you believe the dust in the "195" pic? Hope no roos or sheep are around.

Try these:

Maryland Metrics: http://mdmetric.com/index.html

There is also Metrics & multi-standard: http://www.metricmcc.com/ but I didn't see the M7 there.

Or http://www.beedspeed.com/fasteners.html - it looks like they offer an M7 flange nut, but the pitch looks strange....

I think the M7 is not a standard flange nut size. You can also search for DIN 6923, which is the standard that covers flange nuts.

Thanks for the help everyone.
I sent e-mails to all the companys listed and only got 1 reply, from the last company beedspeed.
They have been very helpful and quick to reply any questions.
They have the nuts in stock at a price of 10 p each.

I need 45 of them, they will supply and post them out at a total cost of 8.5 pound AUD $20.46 total.

I found a local motor bike compant who said he can supply them but at a cost of $5.50 each.
