Twin Turbo Lexus Cobra for sale
Any Victorians know of this custom chassis, twin turbo Lexus Cobra on Ebay? Dodgy photos - mostly fuzzy, dusty photos of a chassis, then a photo of an alloy body from Kirkham's sales brochure....

The chassis looks like complete rubbish. It is not a spaceframe nor a backbone. It looks like a saloon car ladder chassis that someone has added some extra tubes without really understanding why.

That chassis is a Toyota Crown with "backboning" added. Apears to have Falcon Borg Warner live axle (I wouldn't be sticking the proposed630hp through that) and front end modified with coil over shocks and EL Falcon stubs and uprights.
Says the body is 'glass Dax type so the Kirkham photo would be just for show. RMC, G-Force were supposedly floped of a Dax body

He claims a total of $12500.00 for the chassis and body.
Could have done a lot better buying a recognised kit.

Rebel1,
From over on this bank of the pond, if it had a Falcon Supercar engine and driveline, might've been impressed, but a chopped chassis and fat Toyota engine, not impressed for the amount he spent.
Hope he gets what he looking for, but not being familar with the availablity of parts down under, us Texans like the old original AC/COBRAs. Like a Harley, can't beat the sound of an FE.

Now Now Grumpy,
Don't you go baiting us aussies into a big block vs small block debate.
We have enuff problems down here with whats known as the dark side. A group of mislead vagrants who put those aluminium blocked bow tie thingys in their cobras.
I'm going to take up drinking spirits, giving the beer away. That way there wont be as many aluminium cans to recycle into those chevy thingys.
I'm gonna hide behind the sofa now...the flames are soon to start.

Check the userid that put the bid in. Only registered a couple of days ago...might be genuine...but might not.
One thing for sure, it will be hard to register...

Went for $22,100 in the end so I presume at least one of the bids was genuine although the winner was also a first time bidder. And if you look at the winners history, he has had a bid retraction in the last 6 months. Could this be the seller not wishing to let the car go for a low price ?
Adrian.
