Dave,

she said April was OK. Not sure she was thinking 1st of April (April fools - hopes that not an omen). Wedding aniversary on the 9th...hand over a gift with a "Dont worry sweetheart, you already got me my pressy".

Looking forward to seeing the workshop. The waits a little less then 6 months now as well.

Cheers.

Congrates Tenrocca, You wont be disappointed with your decision.

Obviously nor will your wife

I've been studying the CR bodies in all the owners galleries and must say I'm impressed.

You are putting a ford in it aren't ya?

Wow, 6 months.
I hope you can hold out for that long.

I hope Ian has some dash panels and pedas in stock so I dont have to wait too long.

Thumbs up

I can remember when I went up to just have a look at CR's setup and get prices etc. Funny though I took the cheque book with me and cam home with one less cheque in it. Took me some time to fess up to the wife why I was up in Hornsby for the day and why I was so happy to live with. Hope the 6mths go fast for you and look forward to your progress
Leeroy.

Default Ford????

Les...after forking out $1 on a pair of Ls1 engine mounts, do you really think Im going to do my dough and put a boat anchor in it? :-P.

I dont want to start any more arguments, but seriously, none of us have or can afford and original (correct me if Im wrong) so I cant see why anyone would want to get malignant over not putting a ford motor in the damn thing? I dont think any of the originals were fibreglass, had falcon rear ends and jag front ends, 6 speed gear boxs centre rear brake lights, side indicators, 18" wheels etc etc etc. , so whackin a chev in shouldnt be the mortal sin some seem to think it is. All a little bit precious IMHO.

(Here fishy fishy )

Bluddy Ell....If I'd paid $1.00 for a set of mounts I wouldn't change either.

Seriously though.....Given the state of the Regulations etc and given the size and uglyness of the latest ford engines.....then there leaves just one choice really.

Sad that that choice has to be a made by Hold....ermm...Che......ahmm...you know who I'm talking about.

And....In years to come what are all the boat owners going to do when all those ahmm ... Hold...ermm..chev......thingys just turn to a pile of powder in salt water?.

Wot they gonna swing their boats off. There will be an outcry I tell ya!.

Put in what takes ya fancy....I'm really not anti chev/holden....I just like stirrin those Victorian fellas.

Fishy fishy?.....wot?......My rod don't work like it useta.

Have a nice 6 month wait , i dont think you will have much hair left by the time you get your car lmao.
Dont be to concerned about your engine choice , I had a guy the other week damn who bought a Cobra into work and his was powered by the 4 letter F word and we were haveing a good old chat until he found out i was putting a Chev into mine . What a Knob Head . He must not have read his history books correctly . All us people that put chevs in our kits are only doing what Shelby wanted to do ....

Brace yourself hear we go

You should see the reaction I get from people when I tell them mine has a Lexus motor.

Tenrocca, I am nearly at the end of my six month wait and have been advised that the chassis/body could be a bit early. (late May), rather than June.

The waiting is also half the fun (yeah right).

I was also very pleased to see some of the results from the festival at easter, as my set up is going to be the same as Phil's and he had some great results

Have fun waiting (read acquiring bits). We have front end and back end ready to bolt on, just nothing to bolt it to yet.

Managed to get a series 3 front end a few weeks ago on ebay, so Ive started crossing stuff of the shopping list already. One hell of a list when you add it all up. Like most of you all I dont intend to add it all up though. Too scarey.

Don't show that list to the minister for home affairs....that's when things get real scarey.

The trick is to keep 2 sets of lists, just in case they get curious.

Hey you guys whilst your waiting just do all those little jobs around the house like the painting, garden and all the things she wants done....

Yeah right

Sounds like a good time to get all the bits together for the build.
