Talking Light at the end of the tunnel

Whilst with the Engineer today he was very happy to tell me that there is a good chance that "KIT CARS " will be put into the same catagory as "HOT RODS" sometime in the future .He tells me that the "HOT ROD" rules are being employed Nationally and the pen pushers are concidering adding "KIT CARS" to those rules .

Paul, Thanks for the info.

Still a question if cars from the 60's will be included though.

The hot rods are replicas of 1950 something year for approval.

Good news though.

Have a great weekend

Les

The option is to build a 1957 AC. If the 1960's is not considered within the guidelines

Thumbs up

By my understanding of what i was told as long as your kit is from a reputable australian company ie CR , DRB Harrison etc , it wont matter what year car it is bassed on . As it will be pre 58 hotrods and Kit Cars . I would say things will be the same as now for us but they will drop the emmision and noise restrictions that one of constructions have . These rules will also apply to all other kit makers no just Cobras .

I will keep you informed as to what i can dig up

Unhappy Light at the end of the tunnel

That light at the end of the tunnel is probably a train coming the other way.
Would the legislators make it easy for us?
If so then how much will it cost?
Anyway we'll probably still lose.
Have a nice day,
Bryan

If they do back of on the regs do you think car prices will come down?
Or will there be registration restrictions on the cars under the same rules as the SR registration?

It would have to be cheaper to build a car with carbie fed engine over efi.
