Jess,
Cool re your motor and engineer. Your engineer should also have a copy of a letter etc from Vicroads giving your exemption from Euro3 regs. It allows you to use a AU 302 from 1/1/99 onwards - ADR 37/01.
Cheers

Mark, Definately intested in the offer of a bulk buy. Keep me informed.
Regarding ADR's. I did a bit of looking the other day and from what I read Only new models in 2005 need to comply with 79/03, all vehicles need to comply by 01/01/06. If this is correct (I got it off the RTA web site), is a PCV based on a 1965 model considered a new model?

Shocks and Torsion Bars
I had my Cobra fitted out by a guy from Pedders. He designed the shocks to meet the weight of the car, fitment and also designed the torsion bars, fitment and placement.
Doug Pearce 0397394222 organized it all.

Jess, could you email me with the info about where you located your shocks.
I priced em' a week or two ago and was expecting to pay around twice that.
Any web sites or Ph numbers would be great
Looking forward to seeing some pics.

Shocks
I had my shocks and sway bars designed for the Cobra organised by Doug Pearce 0397394222 The whole shooting match was around $1600. So far the sway bars have been redesigned and the shocks modified to my requirements three times at no extra charge. Every time I change something the whole lot changes. Doug is very obliging. Can't get better than that.

Hi Wasp,
Noticed in your gallery that you have front and rear sway bars.
I have had various advice from no sway bars to front only to front and rear.
I have just fitted a 19mm front bar but not had a chance to try it.
I wouls appreciate your thoughts on what you have found in your experience.
Thanks,
Phil

Sway bars
I had the bars fitted because the rear and front suspension had provision for it. The sway bars stiffen the car up and with a little tight on the suspension side the car tracks like it is on rails. My son chased me up the local mountain in his BMW and could not believe how tight the Cobra was compared to his BMW. Everybody comments that it is on rails and a couple of Cobra owners after ridies in mine have given thought to fitting sway bars. I like the Cobra to feel like a go gart and mine just does that. Better sticky tyres would be a big help. Never driven a car that can empty the water out of the windscreen washer tubes pulling G's round a bend. The Wasp does. Hope this helps, thank for the oppourtunity

Maker of the Wasp
The body was a Tucker RC Sports made back in the early nineties. The chassis was designed by a guy called Eric and the chassis was assembled by Sean Mullins Racing in the middle nineties. The car sat for a few years till I picked it up three years ago last April. Got it registered last August and Doug Pearce put a coat over it in February just before the Shelby weekend. It is a one off.

Wet Windscreeen.
You may use the quote any time you want. Here in Melbourne we have a mountain road that is a lot of fun when the tourists are not around. Normally theywill get out of the way when they see the WASP in their rear vision mirror. One corner is a hard left sweeper posted 45 k's. Every time I shoot around the bend real hard and I mean body into the door stuff the windscreen gets wet from the water from the washers. Sadly the last time my windscreen got wet like this was when I spun out in a 180 at Winton Raceway. Sadly because the oil also went sideways leaving the oil pump dry, which duelly seized.

Wasp, sounds like a lot of fun driving up around your area. Love to give you a call next time I'm up for a Sunday drive and see if I can drain the wiper tubes also My mum once had a BMW325i which had tricked M3 motor/suspension mod's and that was like driving a go-kart, cried when she sold it. thought as first born it was going to be passed on!!!

I live in Montrose at the botttom of Mount Dandenong. At the right moment of time the run up the hill and especially down after checking for cameras and I don't mean the tourist type is a lot of fun

Richard,
Thanks for info on sway bars. At least I know what to aim for now
"empty winscreen washer tubes" Sure beats all that high tech descriptions
Not good about your engine though. Time for a big sump and maybe an accusump.
I am running a High Energy sump with more gates than a cattle farm and about 8 litres of oil.It seems to work OK and I had no issues at Winton just destryed the clutch at Heathcote.
Also going to add accusump as a preoiler.
Phil
