Macleans Bridge
Macleans has come round again!
Not sure whether many cobs are going this year with racing on the same weekend.
Got to be the classiest car show in QLD hosted by the Triumph club.
Laast year we had at least 15 cobra's and 3 GT40's.
A very british show with the Jags and triumphs. Quite a surprise last year when a Belair won the best car!
Anyone going down?

Sloth,
Its about an hour and a half south west of Brisbane on the Mt Lindsay Highway near Beaudesert.
Bit of a drive from Sydney!
Usually they have an alternative undercover venue if rain is imminent, but I believe that is not the case this year (if raining the show will be cancelled).
Forecast at this stage is mainly fine and 27 degrees.

Mothers Day - this Sunday subject to no rain!
Wasp - good itineray for you.............
Saturday - racing followed by the pub.
Sunday - waxing followed by the pub.
As said, Macleans is one of the best shows in QLD with a bent towards European Classics - well worth the visit.

Where were you Peter? Don't tell me a few clouds scared you away?!? There were only 4 or 5 Cobras and a GT40 holding up the Ford powered flag. More Lotuses than you could poke a stick at, about 10 Ferraris, C and D Type Jags, heaps of Porsches, a dozen Austin Healeys, Giocattolo, etc, etc.
It was a great low-key event, with a totally different flavour to the usual events that I've been to throughout the year.

Heavy downpours at 7, 8 and 9 - Gave up and left the Cob tucked up in its jama's.
Cleaned the pool up instead - in the rain - got wet.
Shame, but life goes on!

Got Lost
Flew up from Mexico on Saturday and Sunday did the haul from the Gold Coast in my sons new Subaru. Found Morgan Park and had a quick sticky at the Queenslanders Cobra's and sorry Stewart's from for Tweed Heads. I was politely told that Tweed Heads is in N.S.W.
They sure take the racing serious here. Was a lot of fun though. The black with yellow strip is a sweet Cobra. TUF something.
Took off for McLeans Bridge but never found it. Yes as always when I come to Queensland I always seem to bring the over caste weather with rain. Sorry Dudes

You certainly did bring the rain - Sunday was a wash out!!!!!!!
Who say's QLD is perfect????????
Gave up on Maclean's Bridge. Craig was there, but I bet he had a roof on!
The black / yellow cob is Warren Boylan's (Presidento). No expense spared stroked 347. Drive's it, break's it, fixes it using only the best parts.
TUF 347

The Invisible Mc Leans Bridge
Glad it was a wash out, could not find the place even on a freshly bought road map. Waste of $4.50. The TUF 347 was a great looking car. Nearly the reverse to mine except for the big yeloow circle. On the road looking for the show saw a bug eye and an MG. That was all
Harrison was burning up the track, his buddy was doing good blocking off Stewarts car from getting better times. But then again weight gets beaten by a lighter car and HP. Still overcaste and drizzle, should have stayed in Vic rom all reports

Peter, you have a very warm and friendly El Presidento (aka Warren Boylan). He made Pauline and I feel right at home when we were visiting last July.

Pete - you'll be happy to know that Dad and I went to MacLeans in the Cobra. It seems that I have only driven it in the rain recently.
"RAINMAKER" number plates going on soon....

Good on ya Craig!
I've stopped driving mine in the rain - the fuse box is now well rusted.
Its one of those times (work work work) when its tucked up in the shed waiting for a run.
Maybe a trip to Nambour mid June to oggle at some classics!

Ask Les - he no doubt could organise a trip there only for it to rain and get cancelled.
Where is Les??? Probably tied up somewhere!
Meant to say Buderim - where the ginger is. Thats pretty close to Nambour.
Will give Warren Boylan a call to see whats happening with the trip to Dan's place.
