Default CR Fuel Tanks

I have been playing with my fuel tank and it is about as clear as mud as to where it will mount.

It appears as though there will be next to no room behind the diff if I ever need to remove the fuel pump.

There is no position for the straps to mount.

Perhaps my car is missing some holes?

Anyway if anybody has any clear photos of the front and back mounts for the straps on their car it would be great.

Cheers Gav

Aussie Mike is well down the track. Give him a call.

He has also "Posted" a number of photos in his gallery.

Gav,
I used the standard VN tank as per CR. I had similiar problems trying to see how it should fit in. You would think if it was made for VN tank the ting would just bolt in. I made up my own straps and fitted nutserts in the rear bar which supports tank. There are some nutserts provided in the front area where strap can mount but in the end I only used the driverside mounting point and provided the 3 others using the nutserts (M8) With mine you can undo rear bolts and drop tank downward for access which I needed to do on the first firing on motor as the intank pump/motor died & I had to replace. I bought a secondhand tank and from what they all say the motors dont survive to well once they dry out for some time, so my advise if you go this way buy a new pump/motor ass'y as they are only about $30 and dont wont it to die on the way to Wakefield or Winton on year might have some pic's in gallery??

ps/ welcome back Bernie, what'd get me

I thought that may be the case. But thought that if I was to start modding things someone would inform me of an easy way to fit it.

If either of you guys could shed some light with a couple of pics that would be great.

Gav
