Default Hello from the Costa Del Sol

Hi All,

Just thought Id log on and say hello from sunny Spain.

Been in the UK for the last week visiting relatives in far north east, Stanley in county Durham. Took a couple of days and drove up to Glasgow and then accross to Edinborough for a flying tour of Scotland.

Arrived in Malaga this morning and booked into an apartment in Fuengirola right on the beach. Well be here for a week and take a few trips to different places, Gibraltar and maybe Moroco. Should get some relaxation in down by the pool and on the beach and then beack to the UK for a couple of days. Ill be heading back to sunny (not) Melbourne couple of weeks.

Hope everone is doing well.

Cheers

Hi Mike,
if you make it over to Mallorca, give me a call. Would be nice to meet a fellow ClubCobra member from the opposite side of the globe.

Wink On the grape vine

Now folks, a quieter exhaust pipe than mine, told me ,

that Mike was born in warm old Spain, then moved to Kiwi Country and now resides in Oz.

This could explain why he's so mixed up.

Its Ok Mike come on home for a cuddle...

Beijing - well what can I say other than I learnt to drive there..

I can guarantee you that I did not carve my name in the stone at the top of the Great Wall. Unlike most I gave up at step 2050..

Enjoy your travelling - take care

I'm heading out to the States on the 16th so may pass in the terminal..

Garrett

There he is laying on the beach whilst we freeze in Australia. Making it even more diificult is the fact that our cars are layed up in his workshop..

I think we are paying him far to much..

Good to see you in the Cobra meeting in the Cobra and in the freezing cold. Last of the real men..

Hope he gets sun burn..

Question Winter, what winter

PCC

Hi Peter

Just had two days of 19 - 21 here also. Damn it's winter. Yes does get cold over here during the night will need the water bottle for sure..

Passed a young guy in an early MG today and he looked like he was having a lot of fun - my Cobra is still over at McDonald Bros. Racing so thought it would have been good to have it back.

Anne and I have two young guys from Indiana with us at the moment and they cannot believe it's winter.

There is a 'Thread' on the Australian forum called 'Visitors', with some details on them...

Get some pictures of Bonhams if possible - think I'm on the right track - they are the collectors of fine Ford race cars etc...

Hi Stefan,

It would be nice to catch up but unfortunately I wont have time to get over your way.

Heading down to Gibraltar tomorrow and then on a boat accross to Tangier on Thursday. Another day on the beach and then its back to the UK.

Its nice being on holiday but I have to say I miss my family and my Workshop. Am I sick?

I managed to get a bit of a Cobra related fix in Malaysia. I picked up 2 pairs of Puma/SPARCO race driver boots (Same as the ones you bought Phil). Actually a pretty comfortable shoe to wear on the aeroplane.

An Indian Restuarant I went to in Scotland also had some very nice Indian Beer called Cobra. Heres a link: Cobra Beer

B.T.W. Thats enough talking about how many sleeps to the nationals.

Cheers

Dash is back in and looks the goods. Diff comes out this weekend to fit the new 3.9:1 ratio.
All going well I should have it back on the road next weekend.

Hi Phil,

Hope you have a productive long week end. I was quite impressed with Ians new machine when I saw it a few weeks back. Has he made much progress since then?

Got hammered last night at one of the Tapas bars and I think I made a fool of myself as usual.

Heading back to Gibraltar tomorrow for another look. Lazy day by the pool with a book today.

Cheers
