story and pics from LCS- for Australia
hi, there, folks. Bernie suggested I post to you guys on the Australian forum, since some of ya'll don't venture too far off of it.
I have finally posted my pictures and a little story regarding the London show, and maybe you would like to read it-- in a spare hour or two!! Anyway, I was delighted to meet Bernie, he's not the drunk I thought he was (Kidding kidding of course )
We all had a delightfully fun time, and came away with lasting friendships. I'll post more when I get the chance.
Take Care,
Kristen

Hey Kristen,
Great shots and story! Great to see what he is up to. I have not heard from him for a few days.
I think the biggest thing about dad drinking is that he isnt used to drinking beer that is like water
All Aussies are big drinkers... dad is an average drinker here.

Thanks, Todd. I never saw him drink anything but beer- even a Corona or two.
Your dad is a really class act- He isn't just part of the party; he is the party!
Hershal is a terrific guy, too. Easy going, and a good storyteller.
It would be really really cool if a couple of more of you guys did make it to Ohio. Really cool.
Have a great week!
Kristen
Now doesn't Bernie arrive home the 9th or something??

Kristen, If you like him that much why send him back.
Frankly, we don't want him back
In one of those pics you posted it looks like he's wearing a little lipstick.
Is he up to his old tricks again. Wearing makeup just to get into the ladies loo?. All the ladies over here know him well ..they call him the "silver fox" and I'm not telling you why.
But then you've met him so you prolly know already.
Only Jestin.... He's not a bad bloke at all and he scrubs up ok. It's taken a lot of us Aussies bluddy ages to house train him.

Well, Les, we were ALL a little concerned about the hygiene thing. The 40 has no room for anything- so I'm told. but in the 3 days I was there, both Bernie and Hershal had on different shirts each day. Maybe they bought them as they wore them??
yeah, he cleans up pretty good.
I'm pretty P/O'ed at myself. I promised him a beer, but I forgot.
I don't know how they got all their stuff for 10 days in there! After London, they were still headed to Evansville, and then the drive back to Arizona. I bet Hershal's wife will have fun when they get back!
Now about that lipstick.... I saw some chapstick floating around; Jay N. was using it pretty freely- but if Bernie was in drag, he was pretty discreet about it.
Ya'll watch out!! Someday, me and hubby, and 4 rugrats might just descend on the 'down under'!!!!
p.s. I just couldn't bring myself to post the pic of me with 'my hands all over him'. (remember that post a couple of weeks ago?)
I mean, my hubby is pretty tolerant and all, and Ann is probably a good sport, but.......
(and, I would keep him and not send him back, if ..... )

Hehehe,
Im not sure exactly when dad leaves the US (I assume the 9th) but he returns to Melbourne on the 11th of July... no doubt after hearing Mikes story of scaring the cat away, he will be keen to get back in his car for a fang (he has not driven it for a few months now)
The days have been perfect for a fang in the cobra in the past week!
TELL HIM TO GET SOME GOOD YEARS!!!!!!!!
GOOD YEARS!!!!!!!

GOODYEAR Tyres/Tires
Bernie using Hershals' site again....
Todd,
Goodyears - ok will check out the tyre/tire shops.
Rebel1
Hey Les, I'll send the kids up to you in Queensland so that you can entertain them all at the theme parks there.
Kristen, her husband, Anne and I'll do the local wineries and night spots down in sunny Melbourne. We will give you a ring when we want them back..
When you see Scott and Craig next, tell them 'Hi' from everyone over here in the States.
Kristen,
Great pictures from the London event. Thanks for "posting" them over on the Australian site..
Bernie

Oi Bernie, Whats wrong with OUR wineries?. I mean the wineries in good ole sunny Queensland.
We've got some good stuff growing around the Stanthorpe area. Mind you, It's as cold there as it is in Victoria.
Now...as to the kids. Whose kids?. Kristen and her hubbies or Yours and Annes?. I've read your sons posts on here and he is welcome any day even if he does drive a mini.
If you mean the American bred ones....hmmm...dunno about that.
Their Mum looks a bit....well.....ermm....weird. I read somewhere where she couldn't even hook up to an airplane to get home.
Like, how hard can that be.?
She has even taken a liking to some South Australian who perveys the ban of all households...fast food burgers no less.
So...I guess we would have to deal with her and her rug rats with some suspicion.

hey, Les
how about all 8!!!!
Let's see. That would range from what, 25 or so down to 5. Sounds like you could handle that!!
5 girls and 3 boys.... yeah, no problem.
Bernie, great idea about the daycare and a visit to the wineries. My hubby would love that.
You posting on Hershal's site means you've made it back from Ohio. Guess you're off to Fontana now???
I hope the trip was fun and easy.

Don't you have a TV? ... how the hell can ya spring 8 kids? ... Didn't ya read all that book ya mum gave ya?
Bernie...I told ya...them american bred ones gotta be handled with care. They breed like bluddy rabbits.
They'd come over for a visit with 8 ankle biters and go home with 9.

Les, It's eight (8) between us. Kristen's four will need your constant care. My four will take you out to the night spots and get you home in time to get breakfast for Kristens' four.
We are back in Phoenix Az. now and will be heading to Fontana Speedway in the morning - early.
Kristen,
The trip was great. We had a great time.
I will be 'Posting" and new Thread about the drive over etc. on ALL COBRA TALK.
6,000 miles in a GT40.
Take care y'all (have even learnt a new language)...

Bluddy ell!!....thats exactly what I'm talkin about.
There will be no bangin over here...ya got that?.
Two reasons...one, we don't want any american/aussie bred kids as a long term liability on our social security system and...
Ifín ya do then my first wife might expect more of me and thats just not on.
Gawwddd....Ya just can't get it inta their heads can ya?

Bernie, that's as scary a thought as freddy from that horror movie?
I'M BACK
Bernie, so they sent you back?. Reminds me of the last time I went fishing..threw back the ones I didn't want.
Seriously though Bernie, welcome home. I got a huge kick from your posts of your travel across America. Really interesting....well, most of it was. Was just the bits posted by that HLC lady with the eight kids that worried me.
When you gonna order the RF40?

Les
Hi mate,
Don't know if I'll order a GT40. Whilst they are a great car I'm still a big Cobra enthusiast and enjoy that. The open car, wind in hair etc etc..
But who knows down the track I might just have to get one for Anne. But it willl be Guardsman blue and white and not a flower colour..
Cheers
Bernie
