Depends on what type of inner the braided hose has-
Rubber- this is good for heater,vapour and some oil and fuel (but not premium unleaded) as it will harden and the fluid will permiate through the hose.
Teflon- in my experiance with both car and industrial use in the past is about as chemical resistant as you can get the only draw back is the price and fittings can get expensive if you use earls or speedflow.
I have also crimped the teflon lined hose with smooth bore ferrels but you may want to talk to your local hydraulic house supplier about this.
Also if you deside to use earls or speedflow fittings go with speedflow as they are heeps cheaper and just as good.
