Default brake, clutch and fuel lines

G'day all

To start with can anyone help me with a source for the saddles used to bolt the various lines to the chassis. A work mate has suggested using a clamp version that contains a rubber grommet to better protect and insulate the lines from contact with the chassis.

Despite my best efforts I could only find one Melbourne retailer, on the other side of the world (Hoppers Crossing) that had what I was describing at a horrendous price each. There must be numerous suppliers of such an item, can anyone suggest a contact, preferably in the se suburbs?

More generally what's the best place to run these lines? I have been told inside of chassis, is this right, at top or bottom or elsewhere? Are there issues associated with the three different lines that I should be aware of? Mine is a Mk1 G-Force chassis.

I look forward to your comments!

Slowy

ps

having revisited this forum now that I actually have a car to work on, I find I last posted to Aussie Mike in 91 , my time flys when you don't have anything constructive to construct!!

I used the clamp with the rubber insulator, worked great.

Stainless is great for tubing.

Just a suggestion.

As I have pre-made lines I will go with these but thanks for the tips guys.

Bazza

Norden's are now on my parts list, thanks for the tip. Tell me, what fastening type do you use in these saddles? They have a .25" hole but this must be over kill.

I have hex headed self drilling metal threads, <.25", is this the suggested fastener? Please advise what is suggested!

Also would be keen to have a look at your car, when could this be managed?

Cheers

Steve
